Introduction

Thomas Enterprises Homepage

Who or what is Thomas Enterprises? Or, more pressing question, what on earth is a computer peripheral company doing in Iowa? This company of three employees (two full-time) makes the TSW, Thomas Super Wheel. With such a catchy name, how could we have never heard of this product? Much like a Bugatti, this isn't a product that you drive down to the local store to buy.

We were sent two wheel and pedal samples from these guys: the TSW GT and TSW2 Stock. The GT is ultra-expensive ($850) and has all the bells and whistles on it. The stock wheel setup is, well, just expensive ($250); it has a few whistles. No bells.

The Thomas Super Wheel is something that belongs in the freak category, but in a good way. Kind of like my college roommate, the guy could walk into just about any math or physics midterm and come out with As or Bs. So what could possibly make the average person want to buy this setup? Probably nothing, but the key thing is they would probably want it. This kind of setup best belongs in the hands of someone who runs lap after lap in a game like NASCAR or TOCA (Touring Car Challenge). This wheel is meant for one thing and one thing alone, to be one of the most accurate sim-racing tools.

 Quick Fact
I get slapped silly when I play on the net. Racing against some of those people out there is just painful. Of course, I think I have run a good race if I don't smack into a wall.
