Surprisingly, GA actually seems to hurt performance in 3DMark 2000.
Update: Poster #7 on our comments page has put up Kristof Beets' explanation as to why GA doesn't help in 3DMark 2000. In short, GA helps in applications that have hardware T&L support by using 3dfx's code instead of Microsoft's software T&L implementation. 3DMark already has optimized code, so it doesn't really need GA.
