As you can see, the new drivers do improve performance in 3DMark especially in the FSAA tests. We switched 3DMark to hardware T&L to test out how much enabling Geometry Assist helps, and new score was very impressive. The hardware T&L option isn't even available when GA is disabled. All other tests were run with the usual Athlon optimizations.

3dfx also acknowledged that there is a bug in the 1.03 drivers that causes the Voodoo5 to score lower than it should in the GA enabled tests, but they are confident that the problem has been fixed. The fix will be available in the next driver release.
