I ended up liking the Viper 770 more than I thought I would. The biggest surprise was the substantial overclockability of the regular version, but this is not unique to Diamond's design; all the TNT2 cards I have used so far will overclock to ultra levels, too. The Viper 770 is a solid card from one of the biggest names in the industry, no more, no less. I can definitely recommend the card, but it's not a standout in any particular way. The biggest enemy of the Viper 770 may not be the Matrox G400 or the Voodoo3 - it's likely to be other TNT2 cards. Other TNT2 vendors will have unique features like TV-out, video capture, faster memory, higher default clock rates, 3D glasses support, and even lower prices.
