Shapely Curves
Shape is probably the best aspect of the Wingman Mouse. Sure it isn't new but when it comes to comfort, having an old design isn't bad since the comfort factor doesn't change. The inverted delta shape gives the Wingman (Mouseman 96) a good look and feel, although other mice have copied it in some form or another. I feel this shape makes a lot of sense because having a "wider" or "fatter" area around the mouseball gives the mouse good weight balance. I also liked the way the mouse is tilted; the left side is only slightly taller than the right, and the rake is not taken to an extreme degree as it is in the MS Intellimouse Pro (with the rubber grip) or the current Logitech Mouseman/Mouseman+.

Click or Squish?
Another thing I noticed immediately about the Wingman mouse is the tactile feel of clicking. Some lesser mice give a mushy feel with a click, along with a very low pressure required to register a click. These are two strikes that signify a bad mouse. I hate mushy clicks because it's much more satisfying to get a sharp, distinct feel and sound with a mouse click. It feels that much more decisive. Buttons that require almost no pressure to click are annoying because of all the accidental clicks that occur. The Wingman mouse does not suffer from any of these problems, giving good tactile feedback on the click and a decent amount of pressure required to register a click.
