FiringSquad Summary:

Finally, you can expose the full potential of your PC’s hardware through ABIT’s SoftMenu BIOS interface. ABIT offers a wide range of settings for performance tweaking, and with the addition of Game Accelerator, it becomes easier for laymen. In addition, ABIT has exposed more functionality for each setting. For example, bus speed adjustments are available over 400MHz for mega overclocking, while voltages for the CPU and memory reach stratospheric levels out of the box. Just remember that you want to use as little juice as possible, else you could damage these components.

The end result is a product that performs very well, offers a robust feature set, and is built for the hardcore enthusiast. If you want to unlock the full capabilities of Intel’s 875P chipset, and have the experience and patience to set it all up, ABIT’s IC7-MAX3 should be at the top of your list of Pentium 4 motherboards.

Description:
The IC7-MAX3 is equipped with features never even conceived for a desktop motherboard. For users who require MAXimum security and storage, the ABIT MAX3 features 6 channel serial ATA RAID with the Silicon Image 4-port serial ATA RAID controller plus native 2 channel support, as well as ABIT's latest ABIT Engineered™ feature: Secure IDE™. But what is most exciting about MAX3 is that it features the most advanced cooling technology ever seen before on a motherboard - OTES.

9.5/10:
If you are looking for a great board with tons of features and high overclocking potential, then give the MAX3 a try. If you are not that much into overclocking and feel that OTES doesn't suit you, then maybe you'll like the IC7-G or IC7. --[Extreme Overclocking]
