Description:

Altec Lansing FM912-8A Floor Monitor

As a solution to this age-old dilemma, Altec Lansing introduces the
DS-family of speaker systems. Specifically designed to meet the needs of
Houses of Worship and Auditoria, these new speaker systems combine
outstanding performance with features that define The Altec Lansing
Difference. For full-range, Front-Of-House applications, the model DS912
features Altec’s high performance 12” Duplex® point-source speaker component
in a five-sided enclosure with internal flyware for permanent installation, and a built-in stand mount for portable applications. The FM912 utilizes the same 12” Duplex® component in a compact floor monitor cabinet. Completing
the family is the model LF115 fifteen-inch subwoofer. This unique product has flyware built into the top and bottom of the rectangular cabinet, and an internal 12dB/octave 100Hz crossover network with switchable high-pass and low-pass filters. Altec Lansing understands the challenges of the modern Worship and
performance environments. These new speakers were designed to meet
both the practical needs of the designer, contractor and installer – and the
listening expectations of the audience.

What Is The Altec Lansing Difference?
Altec Lansing’s DS Speakers are easy to install. Both the models DS912 and LF115 feature internal flyware. Altec Lansing includes the forged eyebolts with each speaker. Everything you need to suspend these two speakers comes in the shipping carton.
Altec Lansing Respects The Aesthetics Of The Worship And Performance Environments. The DS family is supplied in your choice of charcoal gray or white painted cabinets, with contrasting cloth-covered metal grilles. Both cabinet colors are paintable. Altec includes a piece of neutral grille cloth with each speaker that can be dyed to match any décor.
Altec Lansing delivers both value and performance. Both the DS912 and FM912 are multipurpose speakers, designed with your flexible needs in mind. Both speakers have built-in internal stand-mounts. The DS912 can be permanently installed, or used in portable applications. The FM912 works as a compact floor monitor, or a main speaker for remote meetings or services. The LF115 has a built-in crossover, saving you the cost and complexity of a separate dividing network.
Altec Lansing Understands The Importance Of The Message. We use a Duplex® point-source speaker component in our two full-range speakers to provide the listener with high fidelity music reproduction and crisp, intelligible speech.
