They've had this "backup" feature since like what, windows 95? How exactly is this special compared to "ghost"?

I am unaware of any feature in Windows prior to Vista that allowed for you to backup your entire system... and then use that backup from your installation disk to restore your system.

They have had "system restore" but that did NOT replace your entire system and only brought certain parts of your system "back in time".

Very cool, but I am still on xp, and just got a 500gb external HDD, and it sounds like I need to use ghost to backup my system setup. This new feature in VU is neat tho.

There are a few other programs other than ghost, but I trust ghost while I have not used the others.
