Rules - Final Round (4 comments ) by: DanT (389) | Posted in cluster Final Round FiringSquad-Intel Editors Challenge Posted 14 months ago ( edited 14 months ago ) in category DEFAULT Since this competition was global we have had a few issues getting the hardware to our final contestants. With the exception of Hipcheck who is facing some sort of major hardware issues, I think we are ready to go. So lets get right into it.
Item 1: The calendar.
Due to the limitations inherent with the mblogs and the amount of information required in a system build and review of this nature, the Final Round requires the competitors to break their reviews into 3 seperate mblogs.
The 3 mblogs are:
1) The build
2) Testing
3) The results
Submissions are all due by midnight Sunday May 6th. Public voting will end midnight Sunday May 13th. All times are Pacific Standard (PST).
Submissions for each of the 3 mblogs may be submitted anytime during the submission process. The earlier a submission, the more points it will generate through page views and user ratings. We encourage the finalists to post sooner rather than later.
The winner and new FiringSquad Editor will be announced on Wednesday May 16th.
Item 2: The challenge
mblog 1: The build - Detailed analysis of the components and how they all went together.
mblog 2: The testing - Detailed analysis of how you tested and why.
mblog 3: The results - How fast is that $1,000 Intel Core 2 Extreme processor sitting on your desk?
Item 3: Scoring
Scoring will be identical to previous rounds except we will combine the 3 scores from the 3 mblogs for a total possible score of 2,100 points.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me. By now you should have my email address. |
