Welcome to first of the weekly quizzes, next will be April 6ht.
This week we have 3 image questions of famous game developers and
4 sound questions of top games of their genre (all last century).
Unfortunately only 10 media items are allowed per media blog, so I
will have to link to a hint blog.
10 points for a correct answer and bonus points will be given for any
extra information.

They made together one of the best non id FPS game of all time. I don't think you will get the first one without knowing the second one. But his picture has been in a article that have been posted as news here on FiringSquad in the past 2 or 3 weeks I think.

Hint2: The game engine of "one the best non id FPS" was popular.

Isn't Levellord with Ensemble studios now? You know, I'm quite surprised I managed to get one. I really don't know much about the various famous game designers. It basically came down to an educated guess. :)

So that'd make the other guy Scott Miller, of DNF fame. I'd seen his pic recently, but couldn't remember where until you picked Levellord (which I never would have guessed).

Sound Sample 8 = One must fall. Damn I loved that game.

Sounds sample 10 = Mechwarrior 2. Loved that one too.

Intersting bit of trivia about One must fall. 2 brothers made the whole game with the exception of the music.

A sequal was made called One Must Fall: Battlegrounds. It was 3D but it sorta sucked.

Edit: That's it, outrun. You are in the lead for this quiz 3 vs. 2. All thats left are the 2 game developers. (which are connected)

Yes I think you are right (about MW2) so a another point for you, now Interstate 76 was a classic. As for the music, it's fantastic, I was looking for the CD the other day because I wanted to rip it in lossless quality. Sadly the disc has gone missing but I did find all the other CDs that came with it. [Part of game bundle with my Diamond Monster 3D Voodoo card]

Back on MW2. I think the guy that did the soundtrack for it also did Interstate '76. Another kick ass game. I actually recorded the MW2 soundtrack onto cassette so I could listen to it whenever I felt like it.

Image 6 could possibly be Tetsuya Nomura

Sound Clip 8 sounds a bit like Raptor
Sound Clip 9 sounds a lot like Transport Tycoon

Well you got 1 right, Sound clip 9 is from Transport Tycoon.
As for Raptor, well you are close regarding release date. And the game developer on picture 6 is a white guy.

Edit: Yes your right it's CliffyB in image 6. So you got 2 now. [still of on that sound sample 8 though]
