The Sony Bravia 46" 1080p LCD Tv comes packed with features. Its a high quality Tv with more options than you can count, given you can count in the first place there Joe. Sony Normal is a good bet when looking into high end electronic gear, sometimes they are lacking a little bit, but in the case of the Bravia, its just a force to be reckoned with. With a built in HDTV Tuner, multiple connection options, and your able to just plug it in and play away. And with its awesome 178° wide viewing angle your friends won't complain about how you fragged them cause they couldn't see. Let's not forget about new HDMI v1.3, we'll just take a direct quote so you get an idea, "HDMI v1.3 features such as x.v.Color which greatly broadens the color space input capabilities to include 1.8 times as many natural colors as existing HDTV signals." Couldn't have said it better my self.

Screen Resolution: 1920 x 1080 (average default res for HDTV's)
Great for viewing HD or Blu-Ray movies, or even tearing it up with some intense online game play on your PS3 or 360.
Personal Opinion, I wouldn't run Windows on it (but you totally could) and you wont be able to crank games like Crysis to their maximum supported resolutions (somewhere around 2560x1600, not many single monitors can pull that off) but it will still be holier than thou when viewing and when your friends come over. So if your content with God like performance at regular resolutions and don't really need to push it to the limits with ultra high resolutions, then this would be a good choice for you. But if your looking to step it up a notch and try to really push your Ultimate Gaming rig to the limits, you might need to look for even greater performance, if you can find it.

Contrast Ratio: 16,000:1 Dynamic and 1800:1 on screen for a nice true black and bright colors. This is where LCD starts to look just like Plasma making it a more viable option.

When it comes to which cabling to use, well the Bravia says, "Use em all!", I mean this thing is loaded with just about every connection option you can think of (one major exception being DVI-D)

Scales on the higher end budget but you pay for quality, and you cant get much better quality than that for a 46" TV. Hope you got good credit Joe!

Overall: Its a great TV with a price tag that is completely justified. Its incorporates new HDTV technology, a built in tuner, and an array of connection options for you to helplessly hook into your current rats nest. Good pick!

Since those are all the pros...

Cons: No DVI-D, and can't support ultra-high resolutions, but not a lot can. High price, but you get what you pay for.
