The ViewSonic X Series 22" LCD Monitor.
Right away we would like to point out the fact that ViewSonic overall is a reliable and cheap brand, normally a seller of everyday monitors at reasonable prices, the company also produces the occasional high end components for slightly higher but still decent prices. Its a brand know and trusted by most.

In short its your average 2ms response time LCD monitor. WOOT! We could go on and on a try to glorify it but there is no point. Lets cut to the chase shall we.

Resolution: 1680 x 1050
When compared to the TV this resolution is actually lower. Its fine for a standard use monitor and most people wouldn't complain. If your an average user just looking for something to tear up some games at default resolutions then here is the solution for you. If your hardcore gamer or computer enthusiast don't even consider this if your running a single monitor platform. They are hard to find but they do exist. Find that perfect monitor.

Response time: 2ms (note this only applies to certain X Series monitors, 2ms-8ms is normal)
This is an important factor when considering high end gaming. Higher response times means less motion blur and quicker refresh rates so you have that upper hand, 3ms could mean life or death in a Deathmatch environment (lawl). In actuality it is a better image to look at, and cleaner when running high res images. You can't get better than 2ms response time. If your not planning on gaming it up, or just don't care about motion blur, you can save about $30-$50 by going down a notch and getting a 5ms-8ms monitor. If your a gamer you will want to seriously consider a monitor with fast response times such as this, its a must have feature, but then if your a game you probably already know this.

Contrast Ratio: 4000:1 (Dynamic) 1000:1 On screen
Great again for a standard 2ms monitor but again not suburb, this falls in the medium to almost-high end range. One of the main complaints with this monitor is things related to its contrast ratio. White edges, a more grey-than-black "True-Black", and some issues when switching resolutions. All things the average user would have absolutely no problem with but a high end user would scorn at.

Woot and Praise Allah its a computer monitor with standard monitor hookups. DVI-D is about the nicest way to hook up a monitor in the eyes of many. Some debate over whether HDMI hook ups are nicer (mainly in the field of HD and BLU-Ray applications), but when your applying regular everyday computer usage DVI-D is the bomb. If the monitor supports it *cough* DVI-D can rocket your games all the way to those Ultra-High resolutions.

Overall: Its a monitor with 2ms response time.
Thats about the biggest highlight. Everything else is about as average as it gets. It will run windows and play your games and look fine doing it. If your looking for a decent monitor for your high school student then heres one they won't complain about and brag to their friends. If your an enthusiast or hardcore gamer, don't even consider it.

Pros: 2ms response time, Cheap price, Decent monitor, Reliable Brand.

Cons: "Decent Monitor". Everything is only average, standard resolutions, and only standard connectivity options.

Sorry Joe but I would not recommend you to buy this monitor. You just won the Ultimate Gaming rig, don't tarnish it's name with such sub-par equipment.
