Ever wonder why your laptop couldn't be upgradeable? Why you have to buy a whole new laptop instead of just upgrading components like any other PC. Well now there is someone providing a solution. Not only will this be easier on your pocket - but on the environment as well, less thrown away PC's means less toxins clogging up our environment. that being said...

Most of us probably haven't heard about it, but a little known company has become the first to develop a fully upgradeable laptop (or notebook). The Modula-Top is "module - based" and each component can be as easily upgraded as you desktop PC. Their patented "click-lock" technology enables users to easily click in and out parts for upgrade. The motherboard features "flex-slots" and is designed so that addon cards and memory lie down flat when connected, keeping it's slim profile.

When will we see a production model? When will it be on the shelf, you ask? Well, it's TBD right now - but at the rate the major manufacturers are warming up to the idea, it may be as soon as AFD. Not that this was created as an early AFD, but rather because something that is actually possible should get some air - once it's said, it is going to be done.
