» Uploader Capacity Fixed We discovered a bug in the uploader. It has now been fixed and everyone should now be able to upload the full 45mb file size.
Sorry about that!!!
Deadline for submissions is still tonight February 26th at midnight.
» Submission Deadline Extended 24 hours Apparently we didn't increase the video upload capacity from 10M to 35M as previously announced. For this reason, we'll extend the submission time by 24 hours while we resolve this issue.

Considering that others have already submitted their videos with the lower size I would think it unfair to change it now -- maybe for the next prelim though. The extra time might help others lower the size of their projects though.
I can edit mine, but with a mere 12 extra hours and work today there is little I would be able to do.
At the same time, if people are having issues with the uploader, it's hardly fair to not extend the deadline while we check it out. As you say, 12 extra hours isn't going to make that much of a difference.

I have no issue with extending the time. My thoughts is that it would not be fair to raise the size limit to 35mb since the older submissions would be at a disadvantage due to quality. I absolutely agree that those that simply thought they were having upload issues should have extra time to reduce the size of their videos.
I also think it would be great to have increased sizes for future rounds.
I would like to know about the size limits as well. I tried to upload an entry larger than 10mb and it failed due to size.
I am not sure how I could have made a longer video with such a small file size. The dialog says we have 45mb but that definately does not appear to be the case.
» A few questions. Alright I'm happily making a video for the second prelim but do have a few questions. Firstly if our video is slightly larger than the allowable size limit can we split it into two parts and submit it as seperate entries? and secondly, as you've mentioned self promotion, are we allowed to post our creations on other video sites such as youtube in order to garner a few extra votes?
