| | I stopped playing this game over a year ago. Free-to-play ruined it for me (as well as the horrible, buggy, expansions and lack of endgame material). Part of me is saying, "Just more of the same", but I do hope that this ftp model finally gave turbine the revenue and manpower to put out something more akin to what this game was in the beginning. The timeline seems about right (revenue, development, implementation). Let's see if it brings me back. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Couldn't get through 5 min of Morrowind.
Never played Oblivion (no time).
And yet, I've been watching the development of this game closely. It looks like it's going to be something special (yes, I pre-ordered it).
And if it sucks, there will always be Serious Sam soon enough. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Steve Jobs is (was?) a force, to be sure. That said, I only own 1 Apple product (iPod)- and that was given to me as a gift. Let us review their products...
PC's- Generally inferior hardware. Limited software, even worse for gaming (still- after all these years). An overpriced con job perpetuated on an ignorant public that believes everything they see on tv.
iPod/iTunes- Mediocre audio quality. Purchased music from iTunes even worse. Losing music library w/o back-up is far more disastrous than it needs to be (copyrights my ass, maybe you'll buy more of our music instead!)
iPhone/iPad- Nothing against apple here, per se. AT&T perhaps. Must pay a large chunk of change monthly to enjoy all the bells and whistles for the sake of mobility (please don't say "freedom").
I will say that where Apple shines is in user interface and creativity. Other companies are still playing catch-up to Apple in that respect and I suspect Jobs has had a big hand in that since he came back. It will be interesting to see where the company is in 10 years. | | You're not too far off. Played at least 30 minutes of it at Comi-Con this weekend and walked away with a mediocre opinion. The worst thing was no attack forwarding that I could find. I played a melee character and that got old real fast. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Heck, that game choked my system when it first came out (all the mobs in some of the big fights). Couldn't finish it until I put together a new system.
After all this time, I still think SS is the benchmark for the "OMG!" mass mob attack. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I thought the game was a blast as well- when it was working. There was, literally, a game stopping bug at release that prevented one from playing any further until it was fixed. This was a game that if done right from the beginning, people would still be playing it today (Oh yea- they are).
The 1st thing that came to my mind was the smell of kimchi permeating the Underground... Flag this | Edit this post |

| What's funny is, part of me wants to see this game fail just to watch EA flop around like a cat-fight in a Jerry Springer Show. In my circle, the Star Wars mystique is virtually dead, so they better get it right the 1st time.
Either way, I will touch no mmo till 6 months after it's release, minimum. Good luck, Bioware. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | The same drugs he was on when he turned Vaders' line from 'Empire', "bring my shuttle" into, "alert my star destroyer to round up my possee to bring my shuttle"- whatever. The 1st phrase (and how it was said) spoke volumes as to how pissed he was at the moment and had much more meaning in the context of what had just happened. The 2nd line was a complete castration of everything that had just transpired between 'father and son'. These type of discussions always make me want to throw tomatoes at Lucas. | LOTRO is just fine as it is, ty. Granted, more money might mean more bling and uber voice-acting, but I could really care less.
300 million? Could it be that shady Hollywood accounting practices are now a part of the gaming industry? No surprise there. Flag this | Edit this post |
