| | There were a lot of similarities between this and LOTR, but a lot of differences as well. I liked the premise that magic was here all along and came back to the fore with the collapse / destruction of our modern, science-based, civilization. I think 'The Elfstones of Shannara' would make for a really good movie. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Websters defines secularism as "indifference to or rejection or exclusion of religion and religious considerations." As an atheist, your statements make no sense. Maybe you're a conservative sociopath, whatever.
I know- Scientologist! (LOL!) Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Hardly anybody puts together a computer from scratch, there will almost always be parts from the old computer. And installing an X2 5000 is only "mid-range" in what you can buy, not how it performs (no bottleneck issues or anything-LOL!). Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Well, the way I look at it, you and all your jack-booted, bible-toting, thugs have had 8 years to screw this country up in more ways than I ever thought possible. Our reservoir of love and tolerance is running a little low right now. Everything I need to know about you is shown by your disdain for the "progressive secularists". Flag this | Edit this post |

| 8800 GTS (640mb)- $410.00 after rebate
X2 5000 w/mb - $150.00
...shall I continue? It's not top-of-the-line, but it ain't no mid-range. Except for the memory, I can get everything else easily (friends extra parts, cases, etc...). Flag this | Edit this post |

| | We can take this even further. A lot of early HDTV adopters won't really benefit from the new format, HDTV's under a certain screen size will notice very little difference in most applications, and most higher-end standard DVD players have great up-conversion capabilities. What interests me most- the new audio formats- STILL aren't ironed out fully yet, so right now it much ado about nothing. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Rowdy, yes. Violent...ah, no. That's one of most moronic statements I've heard in some time.
More likely the increased aggression in the Iowa study is directly related to the molesting of their pigs. So Wingless, leave those pigs alone! Flag this | Edit this post |

| Yes. H.B., JC!
I'll be 46 in just 11 days, and two things stand out for me of late...
1) This year, I played my first turn-based strategy game (Galactic Civ. II) and played Fallout and Fallout 2 for the first time. Wow! So many great games, so little time. Also, Bioshock can't get here fast enough.
2) The older I get, the less I care about frame rates. I figure my 2800XP and 7900GS will last a little while longer (makes me wonder how long I'll keep saying this- into my 50's?). Flag this | Edit this post |
