| | I can't speak for other poeple... but I have been visiting (lurking) on Firingsquad.com for a long, long time. This contest game me a reason to post here and join the community and also exposed the mBlogs and other features that I did not know existed. I also will not go back on any committment I make. | Ram speed did not affect it.
I really think it is something else as I am able to start the game if I set it to windowed mode (I can then make it full screen after it starts). Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I do not own an XBOX nor have I played the beta for the PC. If it had been released on the PC I would have given it some consideration just as I will give consideration to LOTRO, Age of Conan, and others as they come out. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Test Drive Unlimited is not out yet so there was no way to compare it. Perhaps it will redefine MMOs and add other game styles to the mix, but until it is released it would be improper to judge it. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Upload a new vid -- then edit your mBlog and attach the new vid. I did that but my new vid came out lower quality. I did not have time to go add new footage so that will have to wait until the next prelim.
Good luck man. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I have no issue with extending the time. My thoughts is that it would not be fair to raise the size limit to 35mb since the older submissions would be at a disadvantage due to quality. I absolutely agree that those that simply thought they were having upload issues should have extra time to reduce the size of their videos.
I also think it would be great to have increased sizes for future rounds. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Considering that others have already submitted their videos with the lower size I would think it unfair to change it now -- maybe for the next prelim though. The extra time might help others lower the size of their projects though.
I can edit mine, but with a mere 12 extra hours and work today there is little I would be able to do. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I would like to know about the size limits as well. I tried to upload an entry larger than 10mb and it failed due to size.
I am not sure how I could have made a longer video with such a small file size. The dialog says we have 45mb but that definately does not appear to be the case. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I currently get corruption when trying to run the game using an Nvidia 6800. I did a complete rebuild of XP today to ensure that was not the issue.
I get the logon screen just fine, pick my server, get the intro movies, then graphics corruption on a mostly black screen while music is playing.
I can get it to run by forcing it to minimize or by forcing it to run windowed. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I can respect your opinion on GW Pal, but to not call it an MMO seems really harsh. It still does qualify for an MMO despite the instances. In some aspects it is more of an MMO than WoW or EQII due to the player base not being divided into little server islands.
Basically all the missions and quests are instanced just like the "dungeons" in WoW are, but that doesn't stop a player from interacting with hundreds of people at a time in towns, forming a party, and taking on a mission or quest. Flag this | Edit this post |
