| crash isn't and hasn't been PS2/3 exclusive for awhile now.. we'll see what happens, but i think the obvious is that wii will win hardware sales (and almost surely software eventually too), and im assuming xbox360 will beat ps3 in software sales even if the ps3 were to outsell them hardware wise.
Yoshi -- you always seem to be jumping to defend xbox 360, and HD-DVD when it was around, what is your vested interest? I have an xbox 360, love it, but im not getting into a bunch of arguements with people who only buy sony.

| Wheres all the negative undertones about GTA4? Shouldn't you guys be griping with the fact that there's no PC version? Not truely open-ended? Linear story? Number 4 in the series "SIGH"? what if the high-ups at rockstar and take 2 were high on all kinds of drugs at the press release? Would you take shots at them too like you did the running with scissors CEO? I'm not buying GTA4, it's not that it's horrible... it's just that it's GTA... again.. and the multiplayer isn't impressive and it's just grossly over-hyped.

| In my eyes it will take a good deal of compromise on your part, and even then the damage you have done will take way more time to un-do than it took to originally make. I'd like to see Brett Todd removed from staff personally. He takes his opinion and states it as if it's common sense. It's beyond just "offensive" to some. Seems like he wants to take a eminem approach to put FS in the spotlight... but eminem didnt have a long time standing fan base to shit on.

I have yet to see a lockup issue, but I have noted the graphical differences, PS3 seems to be less detailed in the distance where xbox just blurs stuff from view. Other than that I see flashes of color (generally white) on the 360 version and I have yet to note that on the ps3 (havn't played nearly as much on the ps3). I have a feeling that the problems are not huge but this lockup issue is just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to bugs... software this complex is bound to have them.. | I don't even know what to think after reading the original article, but your a-hole comment just burns me up. I hate double speak just as much as the next person who sees' and understands "The Big Picture". But this is not a no-BS stick to the facts news article. This is you posting your opinion that you don't like the franchise and are somewhat upset with its' continuation. I'm with the rest of the guys that have had it with FS. This makes DT look good, and even they have more than a good share of issues. What happened to Thresh? What happened to the good old days where yes the content had bias, but only in the sense of whether something had value to it, like PC hardware. And if I see anything as terrible as this post by this so-called journalist I'm definitely not going to bother posting again, I'll just find somewhere else to find the content I desire. It's just sad to see something great take such a drastic fall from grace.
And I've barely played the games in the postal series... So it's not just the fact that this article takes a dump on it and the developer, but I will say I desire to give the game a glance to see the up-to-date parody type content.
I think the sims series should die but I would never post something to be considered good journalism that states that... The people will decide as they always do, and that's why the sims is #1 PC franchise of all time, whether us enthusiasts/gamers like it or not.
"It's Postal III, for god's sake!" As if the series has a horrible name associated with it. As I said I've never played through the two prior games, so maybe as a game they are bad, but were they to be taken that seriously as normal "games"? Starcraft, most balanced RTS ever, total annihilation however is at the opposite end of the spectrum... mmm the d-gun, lol... People complain and complain but these episodes are not simple content updates. The source engine is recieving upgrades, most info so far only list shadowing upgrades, models will cast self shadows (as in the nose on the face) and multiple shadows per model, sounds like it'll be a really welcome upgrade. Plus since source is a modular engine these updates can be incorporated into current source engine games. I was shocked and appalled too by this, but I must post in defense of valve. Most of these comments make baseless claims, like OH NOES TEH SAME GRAPHICS ENGINE. Wrong. Look up source engine on wiki, vast changes in lighting and shadowing, the source engine has been updated with each new release, even DOD patched the source engine and all updates were then incorporated into other source games (counter-strike source HDR for instance .. still missing x64 support there though).. So we'll see full HDR, improved amounts of lights available, true dynamic shadowing, full multi-core support utilizing valves new multi-processing strategy of logically breaking down threads into many tasks. Seems like they've patched their engine to take on whatever the competition will throw at them. Im sure ill catch some trolling from this, but the engine isn't going to be "obsolete" in the slgihtest by fall...
I just kind of wish they'd let portal and TF2 out... TF2 is the real joke, its been running at least as long as the duke nukem forever jokes, TF2 was going to be based on its own engine at a few points, got scraped many times and traded hands more than.. well.. a hot prostitute
But more importantly I can't believe people can sit here and act like valve is screwing up bigtime... look at blizzard!!! how long did diablo 2 take to come out? How much did people complain? How about WoW? the expansion? (i dunno if BC was delayed as I dont care about blizz's venture into the MMO realm) Blizzard has made a killing and still has guys like Bill roper developing their apps and they still have the attitude of "it's done when it's done" and they STILL make a killing.
You will troll and troll and troll, and pitch fits but it wont come out earlier... then you'll be jaded and not buy it until you feel left out by all your friends playing TF2 and portal after saying oh look cool new source engine features r0x0r!!!

and on a separate but somewhat not separate note, what is with that "sabotage commercial", i saw it on gaming site and thought it was a parody of an Apple commercial until I saw the "Mac, comes standard with blah blah blah"... I mean they hit the nail on the head in every regard and it really did look like someone 'sabotaged' a real Mac commercial with a new dude and made him say very true things. | I think the biggest argument against the consoles in the whole console vs PC debate is the cost of a 1080p HDTV. Yea, a console is cheaper than a PC consisting of high end hardware, but a console + 1080p TV will in most cases exceed the cost of a high-end PC with a 1920x1200 LCD (or a high resolution CRT, my 150$ 19" does 1920x1440@75Hz). We're "needing" HD now, but for Joe Average who has no HDTV higher definition gaming and cinema has worked and will continue working for less money than a console will. Now I'm waiting for someone to say "I already own an HDTV so screw PC gaming" or "Virtua tennis 3 isn't coming out for PC nor is halo 3 or GoW". I guess it isn't a PC vs console thing for me, this is more about my frustration with TV technology and the cost of the HD stuff.

Childish, yes, but nothing negative came of it, I'm sure it was at the least amusing to them that blizzard fan sites had someone so unprofessional on staff. The site domain was bought by a porn site the day after the domain lease was up and not renewed (no one wanted starcraft strategies anymore, who would have guessed?). GG (good use of the classic term)
oh yeah and while I'm at it with a pointless comment, I'm always surprised when I look at my user ID here (132), I guess I'm just that cool, maybe that makes me a prime candidate to be teh new editor (using terms like GG, lol, and teh, gets yous bonus points as teh editor man, lol zomg kthx), oh wait, that's most likely intel throwing money at firingsquad to change their content to something that says, you k3wl d00ds should buy teh core 2 duo, nevermind your AMD systems with DDR 1 ram, new platform and ram for all!

| Wow, I dont even watch TV and I have seen a zune ad more than a few times just glancing at the TV. What is with people loving ipods? Either way you go you're paying a bunch for marketing crap, Im with the guy who said he likes creative media players. Why even debate between buying apple or microsoft when both devices are designed with marketplace-like places in mind so they can rake in the cash over time. Good mp3 player = simple interface, large storage, and broad media compatibility. I guess good sound quality should be there too. Peoples feelings for MS are such a mixed bag, everyone seems to love the xbox 360 but hate MS in every other regard... I think apple is definately the greater evil. Talk about making people do things their way. "YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE ITUENS!!! YOU CAN USE HAX0ReD FIRMWARE AND THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE!!!" Oh wait, my creative mp3 player showed up as a hard drive that you could simple drag and drop files to... hell they didnt even have to be media files.

I'm sick of the Ageia crap and really I'm sick of PCI based devices, when the hell are we going to see a push for PCI express expansion devices (gigabit nics, sound cards, ramdisks (thats not some ghetto programmable microcontroller thats a patchjob SATA device), raid controllers that arn't held back by a bus thats limited to 133MB/s and i could probably go on.....)
