super mario 2, the american version, wasn't even a mario game in japan, it had the same levels, and gameplay, but it featured completely different playable characters and had a different name

mario, luigi, toad, princess were added and the game was renamed super mario 2 here

Wow, I can't believe not a single person has mentioned Shadows of the Empire, perhaps the best starwars game behind Knights of the old Republic
