| » FAQ 1 Q: Are we limited to video reviews or can we make a video on any video game/technology related topic? Also, are we going to have make a video for every round?
A: We've left the rules as flexible as possible so that you can use your imagination and creativity to come up with the most entertaining and informative video you possibly can.
There are 3 rounds in the Video contest. The first two are preliminary rounds. In the preliminary rounds, you can enter as many videos as you like, in one or both preliminaries. Again, the subject, format, content is completely up to you provided it has something to do with gaming and/or gaming hardware.
If you win either of the preliminary rounds and advance to the final round, your video(s) must be hardware reviews based on the equipment that we send you. This will of course include an Intel Core 2 Extreme processor. Flag this | Edit this post |

| The mblog system will allow you to post one outside link that appears at the very bottom of your mblog.
There are no rules that say you can't refer to an outside article.
So, go for it. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Our goal is to build a significant number of registered FiringSquad participants so that we can have a greater influence on the industry as a whole. I believe that our readers are some of the best informed when it comes to gaming and technology. Why not tap into that knowledge and use it for the greater good. Your participation is safe, secure, and you can earn a couple of extra bucks as well as express your opinion on what direction game developers should be working.

| » Grand Prize???? Clearly the game is to promote Windows Vista.
The most interesting piece of the puzzle has to be what is the grand prize. Can anybody here figure it out? Here are a couple of quotes from the puzzle:
"Fewer than a thousand people have ever been there to see the ultimate vista. The grand prize winner will be one of them."
"One person will find me at my vanishing point. I will make that person famous in a way the world has not seen before. Their name will be repeated as many times as there are stars in—
No. Let’s be more precise. That name will be repeated as many times as there are grains of sand on a beach. That’s my promise." Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I've been to a few of these marketing conferences over the last year, and you always hear about viral marketing and how this company did this and that and how successful it was. Personally, I think the successful ones are almost always based on a great product and all the marketers are doing is providing a venue for people to share their enjoyment of the device. I also own a PSP. For the most part it sits in a drawer collecting dust. You are never going to get me raving what a great device it is, not because it isn't kinda cool, but because it isn't REALLY cool. Flag this | Edit this post |
