| Did you guys not read the article? It's an epilogue - which means it happens when you beat the game. If anything, it will increase the replay value of the game.
If you don't feel like watching the 70m video again, just turn it off after beating the game a second time. If maybe it's an awesome video that you'd wanna watch 5-6 times (like a good movie). Well then, beat the game 5-6 times. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Every pilot is supposed to know how to emergency land a plane and to fuel their vehicle properly so they do not run out mid-flight (diversions considered). This is just a case of 50% bad piloting - really, if the pilot hadn't made his emergency radio calls yet, he should be shot for making "prayer" a priority. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I've had my game freeze several times now... Worst of all, I've had to wipe my save games on 2 occasions because the game wouldn't start up anymore. It seems like data keeps getting corrupted which prevents the game from loading. Really annoying crap, I've never had to concern myself with a game not working until I bought a sony product - piece of shit. Flag this | Edit this post |

| It locked up twice on me in the first 3 hours of playing...
PS3 version incase you're interested - and I bought my PS3 in the last month. Also I've never had my console on for more than 2 hours straight since buying it, it was actually a very poor purchase. Flag this | Edit this post |

| "If Microsoft wants to release Gears of War 3 on a Blu-ray Disc, I think we can make that happen." is being taken out of context. What he means "if Microsoft Game Studios wants to publish their game for the PS3, we'll make it happen."
I hate it when crap like this is taken out of context. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I'm 23 and no 10 year old is ever going to beat me... Every move has a counter, and if you can't beat a button masher, you're not very good. The learning curve to get there isn't that bad. Now a good player may seem like he's button-mashing to an unpracticed player, but that's a lil different.
It's a good idea to get familiar with every character in order to be able to understand them and counter them. Then proceed to try and master a main character who kind of matches your style. It takes some practice, but it will be worth it, the game becomes a lot of strategy - with things like faking and baiting if you get that far. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Most retarded analysis I've ever read. You still can't purchase a wii unless you keep up to date with shipping dates or pre-order. And you're going to remove a piece of plastic worth $0.02 from the product, making it less attractive, and then take a $50 hit per unit in revenue...
It's a good thing Nintendo doesn't have this guy as an adviser, they'd be pooched. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Honestly, I haven't played Guitar Hero 3 yet, and I probably won't... nor have I played the other 2. But I know what it is, and more importantly, pretty much everyone I know knows what it is, particularly a few girls I know who are obsessed with it. Flag this | Edit this post |

| If you look at how everything worked out last generation, you can be pretty sure that price barely influences sales. Media saying "it's too expensive" is completely different though.
Gamecube was release $200 cheaper than the nearest competitor yet it still got whooped being much more powerful than the PS2. The difference was, when PS2 was being sold for $500, the media wasn't saying "too much money!" and "overpriced!" Instead the media was saying "Gamecube is a kiddy console."
The average consumer is a sheep, and the media is our shepherd. A shepherd that can be bought no less. Flag this | Edit this post |

| 2 weeks ago, I would agree with you... And I still kind of do, but I did fully expect the wii to slowly mature over it's timespan with us. And you can start to see little inklings of hope here and there.
First off, Mario Strikers Charged. Yes another mario clone type game, but the first good game to come out that is now using the online service, a step in the right direction to maturity, and a helluva lotta fun to fight it out among the top 100 in the ladder (the only people who play it seriously).
Secondly, Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition. Once again, not only is this not just a clone, it's a port!!! But still, it's a good port of a great game. Especially since much of the gamer population never did play of it because the hype for it died when all the gamecube users beat it, it's definately one of the best single-player games I've ever played. And the wii controls feel natural - I'm undecided if it really changes my experience at all, because the controls were very well done for the GC also, and really, as long as you don't notice the controls in the game, that's the sign that it's well done.
I would say the wii is 1 original franchise away from losing it's fad status and graduating into a must-have system. But only time will tell. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I expect there to be a lot of good games for the Wii. Unfortunately most of them aren't going to happen until the last half of the console's life cycle.
Fortunately Nintendo is probably the best game producer in the world to hold us over with things like mario galaxy, ssbb, metroid and their various other franchises. Also, RE4 wii edition is a good buy. I already beat the game on the GC but felt compelled to play it again on the wii - it's the best game I've played in recent memory.
By the time the wii announced the controller, I forecasted them to be #1, overtop of 360, for home consoles for this generation within 2 years. It looks like they're probably going to do it faster than I forecasted which is good for them, but not surprising. I just didn't think Nintendo's manufacturing could keep up, and I still might end up being correct :-/ Flag this | Edit this post |

| | If this is true, I would venture to say that it will only install if your card and current drivers support it. If not it would tell you to upgrade your system, and games on the large part will simply use 10.0 during the transition period until a game pushing graphics that only a 10.1+ card can run comes around and then everyone else starts borrowing that engine and slowly moves over to the ineviteable. | This comment is completely ludicrous!
When they charge over $300 for an OS that is merely a graphical update of their 6yr old OS. And they guarantee you a minimum amount of support when you purchase that expensive piece of software - I expect free updates...
Additionally, they work very hard at maintaining install-base superiority, the least they can do is try to prevent their entire install base (that they're hoping to be over a billion in the near future) from having an inoperable system because of security-holes in their original release. | | GTA3 was probably my favorite because of it's style and originality over the latter in the series. (I was a big fan of GTA1 back on my old windows95 machine)... That being said, I never was a big fan of the storylines in the GTA series' with the exception of Vice City which I would rate good. Not great, but good. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | nowadays, "MMO" should just be a feature not a genre. There's enough mmorpgs with the exact same game concept around that companies really need to start branching their concepts to get noticed. Remember planetside? It was on the verge of 2 patches could make or break it, unfortunately SOE tends to break more things than they'll ever dream of making half as successful as something like WoW or whatever. | Google searching Marshmallow Duel and clicking the first link to a fansite yielded me this:
"Marshmallow Duel is a classic side-on fighting game"
After further investigation, I agree that SSB looks exactly like a progressed version of that game. And as you can see, the game is regarded as a fighting game.
When you speak of virtua fighter, street fighter etc. You are referring to fighting simulators not "fighting games." The difference is that one aims for realism whereas the other does not. It's like saying Wii-golf is not a sports game because it isn't realistic. Link: http://mduel2k5.spadgos.com/mduel96/about.php Flag this | Edit this post |

| What would you call it then?
A game where you use a series of punches, kicks, varioush techniques and special moves to hit your opponent. Damaging him until to the point where he is easily knocked off the stage defeating your opponent.
All this is, is a "king of the castle" variation on fighting games. Get over yourself. Flag this | Edit this post |
