| » Nvision 2008 Ad Blast? Maybe they're gearing up for an advertising blitz for Nvision 2008. I, for one, would be very interested in an Nvidia ad campaign as I'd be curious on how they could draw in the mainstream market. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I was at the shareholder's meeting and he emphatically denied that they were entering any CPU race. He feels that there is plenty of room for them in the GPU market and has no desire to enter the CPU market.
At a separate meeting we had with the Product Managers for SLI and GeForce/Tesla, they told us that they were happy that AMD and Intel are coming out with on-cpu graphics as they know that those products target the low-end workstation and corporate markets. Nvidia's money comes from the midrange and enthusiast markets and they understand that they have a very low presence in the corporate sector and they are fine with that.
Does this preclude them from entering that market in the future with adaptive SLI or other power-saving products? Certainly not but at least for the near future, even with AMD's Fusion and Intel's version of on-cpu graphics, NVIDIA is content with their current areas of market dominance and further growth in the GPU areas for Tesla. | All we need now is some exec to come along and tell us that "he thought the price was cheap," a la PS3 at E3.
Maybe they'll replace the mana gauge in FF Online with a lucre gauge (green, of course) that will deplete each time you cast a spell and is only refilled when you pay up.
With the balance of lucre that Sony will have, they can put it into an account to accrue interest and fatten their wallets even more. Flag this | Edit this post |
