| » Asus P5B Deluxe and Gigabyte DS3 From the Article:
"...but you’d have an awfully hard time finding a motherboard capable of hitting 429MHz FSB. Most 975X and P965 motherboards, as well as motherboards based on NVIDIA’s nForce 680i chipset should be up to the task of 375MHz FSB (although this is by no means a given)"

| | Yeah, but those are just poor decisions. DIY will not pay $1400 for a kentsfield when Tiger has them for $400 less. Also, who the hell's gonna buy 2 7950's right now? Or a 750GB for $380 when you can stripe 2 400's for half that? And the PSU for $350...please. NO self respecting DIYer would put it together like that. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Printing now! Thank you FS and Anand for keeping the print buttons on your friggin' reviews! I spend enough time during the day sitting and staring...and reading. Couple more and I'll have a review in all rooms! Perfect for that morning... Flag this | Edit this post |

| HDR + Anti-Aliasing support for The Elder Scrolls Oblivion
Users no longer need to download and install the Chuck patch - the Direct3D driver now includes native support for High Dynamic Range and Anti-Aliasing with The Elder Scrolls Oblivion. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Madshrimps did a roundup with it and found that the Accelero cools better and stays quieter than the Sytrin.
I have a VF900 on a 19XT idling @ 43, but FEAR will load it up to 80C after only 5-10 minutes. I will have to run 3D2K6 and find out how much lighter it is on the cards. I've previously used the Accelero X2 on another 19XT and had pleasing results. We'll have to see. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I am. Is it the just the 1950 we've all read about, or something more!!??
Also, thanks for the article FS. I've recently taken back a 79GT for the 19XT and am extremely pleased w/ FEAR's IQ improvements.
I ran the 79GT w/ High Quality and still grates shimmer with glee. But the most annoying problem has to be the jutting/scissor-splitting ceilings and roofs when in motion. It happens on both cards, but it doesn't distract me on the ATI part.
Cheers,
Jod :D Flag this | Edit this post |

| ...and you don't have to spend $400 bucks on ram either. :D It's gotta run minimum 2x the bus, so if you're gonna hit even 2800Mhz w/ 6300, you've got ta have 800Mhz ram. Want 3200Mhz? Gotta hit 915Mhz on the ram.
My Patriot PDC22G5300LLK (667Mhz) hit 800Mhz w/ a small bump in voltage, but doesn't care to move any higher. (at least not without messing with latencies) In this case, a 6400 gets me 400Mhz more. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Isolating the CPU by going with lo res's just useless imo. Who games @ 800x600 on a Core 2? An X1900XT? It's just too synthentic. If I really wanna know how well a CPU runs, I'll check encoding times.
Thanks for the arty tho! I prefer [H]'s playable settings and real world benchies, but at least you guys KEPT THE FRIGGIN' PRINT ARTICLE BUTTON!!!
