Read it shortly after it came out. It's not too bad. Does a pretty good job of filling in the story just before the game takes place. Having read the original 4 Doom novels and unfortunately the book based on the movie, I've got to say the author did a decent job with it. It won't win any awards, but I enjoyed it anyway.
