| They needed extra time to put in the Securom software. Or bug squashing. Or hardware configuration conflicts. Or pissing off people who don't like consoles. Or shortage of plastic PC DVDrom boxes.
Maybe they figure some people will want the game bad enough they will purchase an Xbox360. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I have no doubt that residue from second hand smoke is clouding the optics. I once had a job where the owners and office staffer smoked all day long in the office. There was equipment which was always getting fouled. When moving to a new office there were large patches of white walls where equipment had rested against while the rest of the office was colored yellow. I eventually had to use gloves to pick up stuff because many machines had this sticky sludge on the bottom.
I feel sorry for their lungs. Flag this | Edit this post |

| It doesn't matter who is president, now or in the next four years or the next twelve. There will always be inflation on consumer goods, food and housing. Gas prices will always increase with demand and without an equivalent alternative. There will always be taxes we don't want to pay coming from somewhere. The borders will be just as open as they have for the past twenty years (except for requiring US citizens to have passports to cross).
But none of those things really have anything to do with the Unreal 4 engine. Epic will develop for suitable platforms where ever the money is to be made. Way to stay on topic, brainiac. Flag this | Edit this post |

| It's because all those things listed compliment video game playing as an entertainment format.
The replay value of video games is also much larger than a DVD movie. Music can also be listened to anywhere such as when driving, working, eating or having sex. It is harder (not impossible) to do those while playing video games. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I understand what you're saying about investors RedRay. But when people invest they are speculating that the company will grow and the price of their stock will increase. People also buy stock for the dividends a company paid out.
If not for the talent of the individuals at Harmonix, Rock Band wouldn't have made the money it did. Like Eclipse said, it is trickle down economics. The system rewards the rich too much. I think the majority of the money should go to the programmers, engineers, and artists who actually did the work. Flag this | Edit this post |

| It's never the people who were directly involved in creating the product who receive bonuses like this. It's always the CEO, executives and shareholders.
When was the last time any of you have seen a story where the people who actually worked on a very successful project got monetary praise for it? I for one have never seen such a story. Flag this | Edit this post |
