| They need to have this scene where Bruce Banner accidently steps into a Fight Club meeting and has to fight the first night.
Despite not wanting to hurt anyone he ends up getting smacked around, loses his temper, turns into the Hulk and then whomps everyone in the room.
How's that for "not seriously"? Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Yes, people still do play Basically they have a hardcore player base (roughly 100,000 I've heard). It's funny that as late as last year they had an expansion pack for it (some samurai-themed one).
Honestly, I don't see how it can make that much money. Flag this | Edit this post |

| No, effects like that are cool.
Effects that aren't cool are things like firing a gun and the bullet goes a mile long and through walls, multiple bodies, etc.
Or you fall down from as little as 8 meters and end up getting seriously hurt. Also, falling takes much faster in real life than games show them as.
So when I'm referring to "real" physics I mean implementing real life rules and cause/effects. I'm not talking about eye candy. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Realistic physics isn't fun Problem is that when you do "real life" physics into games it isn't very fun. I won't cite every example, but things like falling, friction, and ballistics would be seriously toned down if it were "realistic". Flag this | Edit this post |
