| | At least Bill McCollum seems a little more civilized than Jack Thompson (from Flordia, that sounds cooler than the real name). Manhunt already caused a little controversy, and on the Wii it is slightly worse due to the motions so you would expect it to cause slightly more controversy. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Free PPU would be nice. Hopefully the next generation of PPU's will have several sku's at different price points below the current one. Maybe one that is as powerful as the current one, but maybe half the price. Video cards do it about twice a year... Flag this | Edit this post |

| I watched the video. Doesn't look very impressive. Looks like Halo 2 (in a technical sense). Hopefully it will be funner than it looks (for the sake of anyone who buys it, which may include me).
video is on bungie.net, here is the link to the story at the moment, the vids at the bottom:

| | I do believe that the Elite is going to be a limited run product. After a couple months (I'm not really sure how long) they will stop making the elite and produce the Premium with a 120 GB HD and HDMI (as Elite but white). The current Premium will become the Core system, and I'm not sure what will happen to the Core. I think the extra $80 is just to get the new sku early and black. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | That does make sense. I still think that it will be troublesome for Sony because they are removing the PS2 hardware from the PS3 (at least in Europe, I'm guessing everywhere eventually) and I assume they have to create a software emulator. The Cell is a powerful processor and since they own the Emotion Engine they probably know it well enough to create an emulator that performs well for most PS2 games without optimizing for specific games like Microsoft does. | 1 round/.000001 min = 1 million round/minute
m61a2 vulcan on most fighter aircraft fires several thousand rounds/minute, but they only carry a few hundred rounds of ammo. I think a few hundred 20mm HE rounds will not do much more damage than a few dozen.
Useful for small arms though. Looks like a pain to reload to me. Flag this | Edit this post |
