| | Cutting cables makes sense, I have piles of them at home...now why they don' solder in the wireless chip and why try to sell the USB dongle for $99 STILL is angering to me...that is the rip of the last few years... Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Easy fix for this... Drop the friggin' Atom proc.
Via's new Nano is a way better product, so is an underclocked AMD.
If I was going to buy a netbook soon (doubtful) it would ONLY be with a Nano proc in it. Samsung and a few others have already figured this out.
Because Nvidia has already jumped into bed with Intel, and is complaining of getting screwed is funny. Just don't get into bed in the first place! Options people! Flag this | Edit this post |

| I just bought the HD-DVD add-on for XBOX 360.
A DEAL at $50 for a great upconverting player.
Seriously, one less component in my cabinet and one less input used in my TV, makes regular DVDs look a tad better too.
Toshiba/Microsoft's mistake was the initial price for the technology. They should have really PUSHED the 360 add-on for under $100 from the beginning. Who cares if you lose money if you move units? A billion dollars lost? Man that could have subsidized 2-5 million extra players out there and then there might have been a chance...
then the movie studios would have listened me thinks... Flag this | Edit this post |

| This surprises anyone?
Most correction officers are wack-a-do's.
Who would want to work in that environment?
So you get a little satisfaction from tazering some huge inmate that can crush you with his bare hands?
So sad, this country is full of p&*SS%es, I tell you.
It's CALLED PRISON/JAIL for a reason.
I still believe that there shouldn't be any TV in there, but then again, I thought it was supposed to be punishment... Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Jesus, stop with all the shows already... Come on, do we really need E3, Comdex, CES? The answer simply is NO...maybe in the prime of the dot.com days, but now, how about 1 REALLY big event...with a games section, computer section, and tv/electronics section...
Car shows happen all the time, but they happen in DIFFERENT COUNTRIES...there are only a few in the USA that are considered BIG...
Want a cool show? Lump them all into one, then I would be tempted to pay to go to VEGAS BABY VEGAS! Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Ouchy...but stupid I am in construction, and Tar and Gravel roofing is BY far the worst sub-trade there is.
It smells too. That stinkin' tar cooker and they all move the melted tar in 5 gallon buckets...
Almost all tar roofers have some sort of crazy burn scars...most don't use ladders though...they pull them up with ropes and use gloves and stuff...
Makes you think how painful death must be to all those the americans tar and feathers way back in the day...ever see Carnivale on HBO?...ouch indeed Flag this | Edit this post |

| » People please read carefully... THERE will NOT be a new XBOX 360...
This is a ADD-ON DRIVE...which included hardware...
I assume the drive will be about $300 (that would be a drive, plus HD-DVD decoder built in, with XBOX 360 hardware help)...that would put the base XBOX 360 and the PS3 with Blue-Ray in the same cost range...
BTW, I went to the Microsoft XBox Live Arcade (weekly game downloads) kick-off party last night in SF,CA...sweet! Open Bar and we got to play Street Fighter 2, Frogger, Galaga, etc. for hours...XBox 360 will continue dominance !!!!!over PS2/PS3 for a long time... Flag this | Edit this post |

| » I think Sony should push their blue-ray PSP! Then once people (stupid people, like the ones who bought 2 copies of movies (1 for DVD, 1 for PSP) buy into it, they should release a PSP/UMD Blue-Ray so that you can spend $30 for Caddyshack II again!
UGH...
Isn't it clear? HD-DVD will win already people!
HD-DVD or base! Flag this | Edit this post |

| The easiest way to stop oil waste in cars atleast is to STOP MAKING CARS/TRUCKS/SUVS that get anything less that 30mpg.
It might sound insane, but its not.
I think it is easy to do. Insitute a new EPA mileage test (the existing one is a joke) and ANY vehicle that doesn't get at least 30mpg has a HEAVY TAX on the buyer. Say if the car/truck gets 29 then it is a $1,000 fine, but it should ramp heavily from there. A car that gets 25mpg would be taxed at $7,500. A car that gets 20mpg would have a $15,000 tax. Anything less than 20mpg would have a $20,000 tax.
I would make you think twice about the Mustang V8 and V6 if the V8 cost you another $15,000 just because Ford can't make it get 20mpg...
And with all that TAX money we could finally invest in cleaner Nuclear Power and Solar Panels on everyone's homes, not just the Greenies... Flag this | Edit this post |
