I currently have a Ati x850xt 256mb card, have had it for almost a year and am just getting used to the fact that I can still(with games released within the last year) max most settings up without a hiccup. Being always a generation or two behind, usually because of cost, this has been the first card I have been able to consitantly do that with. With new DX10 cards coming, I may have been tempted to upgrade, but now I have the opportunity to wait til the prices drop a little, or the 3.0 pixel shader really comes into effect as it did with the recent Lost Planet demo(wasn't able to play).
