I've been wanting a game to do this for years... I just hope it doesn't suck.

Could be counted as seperate accounts, since you can just buy the expansion pack by itself and play. They probably have a solid number from the game reporting what each user has installed when they log in.

A 27-yr-old woman in North America who gains enough weight to support an 8-lb baby doesn't know she's pregnant? Yeah, I don't think so.

"a springboard to analyze different ways of knowing"

Ok, you can use different methods to learn something, or analyze it, or ask questions about it... but you can't "know" it differently. Either you know it or you don't. That, and it just sounds stupid.

Yeah, it'll be a HighDefGen4 version of the E3 2003 display, projected directly into the visual cortex of the brain, with a full body sensor suit to simulate the strippers.

Of course, it'll be all pre-rendered, no gameplay.

I went from 2 to 4... funny thing is I'd never gotten around to playing Spiderman or Rallisport challenge, so this is as good an excuse as any.

Yeah, I'd imagine time flies when you're playing with matches on crack.

In a recent Popular Science article, a biologist broke down the cause of cellular death into (if I recollect correct) 7 categories. This new chemical is interesting and could extend lifespans, but curing natural lethargy is only 1/7th of the issue. The other 6 will still kill you sooner or later. But hey, if this one will let us live long enough to see an extra generation of gaming consoles, bring it on! ;)

He's betting that nobody will show up. Shoot, if I could afford the time I'd go on a non-stop training schedule to get ready for that fight just to beat the shizzle out of him for what he did to "Alone in the Dark".

Actually, it doesn't surprise me too much. The idea is to get your bluff in first. I saw my cat surprise attack a stray 65-lb muscle-bound pit bull, and chase it around my back yard until the dog climbed the fence to escape. It took me a while to stop laughing long enough to bring her back in the house.

The "detox" clinic really isn't intended for most American gamers, who often have other things they enjoy doing, or at least don't die from gaming. However, in Europe where people die from the exhaustion of playing 30 to 72 hours straight, and in Asia where street gangs kill each other over Starcraft, I could see how a clinic might be applicable.

Of course most American media will immediately apply those standards to the average kid who's Mom is worried to death because he plays Warcraft a couple of hours a night and she's too much of a wuss to do anything about it.

Personally I can't wait. Technically it looks like just another version of hack 'n loot 'n hack 'n loot... but then again I haven't had a good one of those in a while. And it's a bit different to do it from an FPS / 3PS perspective. That, and it was already fun in the E3 demo LAST year, so I have decent expectations for it.

I stopped paying attention to the screenshots about 3 postings ago. I've got my 360, already reserved the game. For crying out loud, I actually own Steel Battalion, so the chances of me passing up a hardcore combat mech game are pretty much nil.

I don't condone censorship, just proper labeling. It's up to the buyer (or their parents) to decide if the product is valid for themselves. I just think it was stupid of TT to leave the content in the disc. Years of hacks should have shown them that if it's in there, somebody will find it.

I don't see enough of a market for PS3 "computer" users to justify the investment to port code to possibly the most complex computing environment on the market.

Unfortunately, eliminating monthly fees would mean filling your screen with advertising banners and spyware. Somebody's gotta pay for the hardware required to run those things efficiently, and that somebody is always going to be us, either in cash or major annoyance.

The difference is that "nude patches" are almost always user-made hacks that replace original textures or models with something the third party made of their own volition. "Hot Coffee" is different because the GAME DEVELOPER actually created a sex mini-game, complete with a purpose-built bedroom environment, nude models, sexual character animations, and game control programming. This would be impossible for any end-user to accomplish on the console version. The content itself doesn't bother me. The fact that they lied about it is the issue.

This wasn't some hack at his home computer playing with sophomoric textures and putting it on the web. This was a team of software developers, funded by Take Two, that produced undeniably explicit material, put it in the retail product, and then pretended it didn't exist. At first they even blamed the hacker for creating the material, which was blatantly ridiculous. They should have been fined just for that.

I feel that TTWO either had brilliant lawyers or stupid judges to avoid major fines.

Unfortunately, I couldn't really care much about it less. I tried for a couple of months, and had fun until I realized I was spending 4 hours a day moving mining facilities and looking for resources, and couldn't actually kill anything because I couldn't do combat and crafting at the same time.

It did come out so unadvertised that I completely forgot it had even made it to the local theaters until it'd already left the dollar theaters.

Agreed. I have a 61" HDTV, and the difference between 480p and 720p widescreen is enough that I re-started playing some of my old XBox titles on the 360 just to get the upscan, even games I was halfway through and and had to start over. I can understand not requiring HD from your developers, but consider the fact that by half-way through this console generation, any cross-platform game on the Wii will look like warmed-over crap compared to either the 360 or the PS3 when viewed on even the cheapest HDTV set.
