| I thought Brosnan did a really good Bond, but the scripts were often less than stellar.
Worst unintentionally funny moment of his Bond time:
"You forgot the number one rule of mass media, Elliot, always give the people what they want!"
---from the horrible "Tomorrow Never Dies"
The way he delivers that line is so corny and forced, but then again, its not much of a climactic (is that a word?) line to begin with. Yet, it IS the climax of that terrible movie.
Goldeneye was excellent, IMHO, though. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Hey, be thankful that they have something else to say besides "Michael Vick Michael Vick Michael Vick" all the time.
For two years, in games that he was not even involved in, the announcers were talking about him.
Coming in a close second is "Eli Manning Eli Manning Eli Manning" Flag this | Edit this post |

| As an AMD fan, I'm wondering:
Why would anybody choose this setup over Kentsfield? What the hell are they thinking? Do they not realize that if Intel felt even remotely threatened by AMD's silly 2 cpu, 4 core setup, they could do a 2cpu 8 core setup?
Not to mention like everyone else said, the 4x4 probably wont come close to one Kentsfield 4-core in gaming. Why waste everybodys time with such a half-assed effort, and just concentrate on getting K8-L out ahead of schedule?
They'd better hope Intel has some problem getting enough Kentsfields out the door in November and/or they can significantly beat the price point. Just amazingly pointless otherwise. Flag this | Edit this post |

I really was not impressed by Elite Force. Although that hybrid old Enterprise/klingon ship level was pretty cool.
Bridge Commander, on the other hand, was great. It had one crippling problem tho....a massive memory leak that would gradually slow down everything in the game unless you rebooted your computer. And no, restarting the game did not help.
Strangely enough, nothing else in windows, including other games, was affected. Not really a problem for those who shut down their computer everyday or reboot all the time, but for those who played for many hours straight (not me) or keep their main computer up all the time (me), its a little bit annoying.
Also worthy of note about BC, and its most attractive quality IMHO, is the mod community. Check out http://bridgecommander.filefront.com for all the ships and weapons people have come up with. Theres even an SDK for you to create your own ships/weapons/stations/whatever on that site.
Too bad we will probably never see a sequel. Or a fix to the memory leak.

| Unfortunately, Berman and Braga are going to digitally add a "Ships Counselor" to the original series. Oh yeah, and an annoying wiz-kid will be replacing Chekov.
Seriously though, I'd prefer it if they'd all just leave the show in its original state. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Man, that infamous Wayne Brady sketch was hilarious. Also, I couldnt believe he actually punted that baby (well, at least symbolically) in that "revenge" sketch.
Chappelle's Show will be missed. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Transgaming is the company that makes Cedega for linux, so they do have some experience in making DX games run on *nix systems.
It is worthy of note that although Cedega has been very successful in actually making DX games playable on Linux, performance is usually cut in half or worse versus the Windows native.
I noticed they didnt mention how performance of these games would turn out. Flag this | Edit this post |

| It wouldnt be the first time. He sacked the only remaining member of the original band before the last album, and then toured with a completely different band than what was on System has Failed.
Too bad, cause who wouldn't have wanted to see Vinnie tear up some old 'deth songs live. Or Chris, who actually was an original member of the band.
Myself, I worship Marty, but I doubt he's ever coming back. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Agreed....talk about awaking the sleeping giant...Intel seems to really be putting the smack down on AMD now. They even have an answer to AMD's silly 4x4 "answer to Core 2" as of now.
I refuse to believe that AMD didnt see this coming, so hopefully we'll see something worthwhile from them soon. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Man, we have to wait a year and a half for a new chip architecture that can compete with Core2Duo?
I cant believe AMD is being this foolish. I havent seen anything from the A64/X2 architecture that hints they will be able to scale it to compete with Conroe. What the hell are they thinking? Have the lessons of beating down Intel in price/performance for the past year not been learned? And two dual core processors on one mobo certainly aint gonna cut it, price-wise.
Sorry for the rant, but I'm astonished at these decisions AMD is making for battling Conroe. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I'm a huge fan of AMD's products, and even I can see no compelling reason to not go with Core 2 Duo for my next upgrade.
AMD better get something competitive out soon, because every preliminary bench I've seen has a $400 Core2Duo (E6600 specifically) outperforming an $1100 (currently) FX-62 at everything while generating less heat.
Its hard to believe that AMD thought that AM2 alone would be enough to counter the Conroes, so hopefully they have something great coming out.
EDIT: And I hope that "great thing" isnt that 4 core setup. Flag this | Edit this post |
