| Even if Blizzard loses the case all they have to do is a "." between each letter of the name (eg. D.O.T.A.). Valve is trademarking the name Dota. Since the words that create the initialism "D.O.T.A." have existed in WC3 and other Blizzard stuff Valve can't claim that Blizzard is using trademarked Valve property names.
I mean, really, how many Dota game related properties was Blizzard planning to make? Is it really that big of a deal anyway? Flag this | Edit this post |

| Have they addressed the cheating issues with things like putting pots on peoples' head to be able to steal everything in the game?
I don't see how I could play a game where something that's supposed to be a gained skill (steal with stealth) can be done endlessly because of a glitch.
I mean what incentive do I have to ever do anything that would gain me money BESIDES stealing, now that I can do it without penalty? Everyone who plays the game never has to worry about money at any point. You don't have to fight for it, you don't have to beat missions for it, just steal everything until you're rich.
To NOT do it when it's there would be like not buying new armor or weapons just to make things harder on yourself. The game is supposed to provide the challenge, not you voluntarily deciding to hold back to compensate for bad programming. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | If you're just going to install Windows why bother buying an Apple laptop? Their hardware has never been all out better than the competition. It was ALWAYS the Windows vs. OSX argument that swayed people one way or the other. Take away the OS and Apple has nothing left to offer but white, sleek, overpriced, hipster merchandise. | Do keep in mind that people went absolutely ape-doodoo when Steam first came out - calling it the end of PC gaming. Yet now I get funny looks when I tell someone I don't buy games off Steam and instead buy the retail copies.
Of course, Valve has the most hardcore, nut-hugging fanboys alive, so... there's that. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Flat out Duke Nukem Forever is a pretty good game. It was fun, first and foremost, and it had damn near everything I imagined it would for a sequel to the first game, that we all loved.
So many arcade sequences, fun scenarios (jumping on hamburgers), incredible variety in levels, and inside jokes that I was surprised would even be in the game ("Tonight... YOU!")
Sure the graphics were dated - how could they not be? Who the hell judges a game solely on graphics? The character physics did suck, though.
The ending to the game tell you straight up that there will be a sequel so hopefully they will be able to produce a top of the line Duke game next time. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Why would you people buy a game with no immediate intention to play it?
Remember when Steam came out and everyone thought it was the end of PC gaming they hated it so badly? But, now Steam is laughing at all of you for mindlessly doing exactly, to an absolute tee, what they knew you'd all do eventually?
Consumerism, it's a funny thing. Flag this | Edit this post |

| So, basically I should wait six months after EVERY PC game release so that I can play it when it's actually fixed and good (and cheaper) instead of the shambling, modless, buggy, graphically unsatisfying thing that it is on release day? I've already made the plan to wait months before getting Skyrim for these reasons.
Alright, good to know. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Man, I love Morrowind so much. The environment, the scale, the music - it's all unmatched for this type of game even today. Plus, being an actual PC game instead of some f**king X-Box port, having no enemy scaling, and having no quick travel map system really increased to the depth and scope.
4rth favorite game of all time. Flag this | Edit this post |

| What the hell is with people and the word "extradite"? You, all of you, do realize that Assange would either have to be convicted of a crime or be charged with a crime by US prosecutors, in a country that agrees to extradite to America... right?
Do you understand this? Do you understand how extradition works? Do you understand that America is not the whole world? America cannot just say they want something to happen and then it happens. Assange hasn't even been charged with a single thing related to Wikileaks let alone something concerning us prosecutors. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Oh, man! I've never really be one to wish harm on strangers for doing a lousy job but someone shoulda' shanked the mofo that thought leveling enemies was a good idea.
I mean F**KING JESUS MOTHER S**T-BALLS CHRIST!!!
Tell me! Tell me what the f**king point of leveling enemies is? To eliminate the need to level?! To make the player actually avoid combat?! To make it so that adventuring really has no thrill at all?!
I agree with the first guy of this branch: Less crap-tacular Oblivion, more awesome sauce Morrowind. Flag this | Edit this post |
