Also keep in mind that DirectX 10 will be released for Windows XP under the alias DirectX 9.L, so....DirectX shouldn't be a HUGE incentive for upgrading.
I think more significant isn't that physical activity increases the number of calories burned (because that's obvious), but rather by how much the burn rate is increased. Not really surprising that the "mildly obese" group burned more calories during the same experiment, but still interesting that they drew the conclusion.
