This sounds like a fair review. I want one and the reason is Zelda. Its a class game as is their other Premier titles. I have the game, currently without a console.
Nintendo have to get themselves into gear and make enough and soon. Otherwise that media critical mass that they have managed to garner will fizzle like a broken sparkler and go the way of the Gamecube.
» Games This console is going to live and die entirely by its games. Currently the DS is a shining example of what a series of great games can do for gaming hardware.
The XBox360 and the PS3 do not appeal to me as much as the Wii. Perhaps when they have hacked the 360 so I can stream HD content over my gig network, i'll be interested.
Whats happened is that Sony and MS have gone for better specifications without any regard to gaming or any real thought to their bottom line.
I've just been playing an Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube and its great. Its got great gameplay. Zelda has great expansive game play. So does the Mario franchise. These are great games, hardware is irrelevant.
What the Wii has over either the PS3 or XBox is a series of launch titles that will make me buy the console to play them.
I look forward to the PS3 or the XBox having a game that makes me want a $400-600 console to play it?
