| | Starcraft always gets in the top 10 list here and there. I even see Warcraft pop up, but not as often as Starcraft. No other "old" game makes the top 10 list like these Blizzard games. I don't know why Starcraft topped the charts in previous cases, but this one is obvious -> Starcraft II hype. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | The 1st morale of the story is don't go to Jiffy Lube. It doesn't seem like they are taking enough action to prevent these scams from happening. Repeat scams that are not being dealt with and consistent problems with the higher ups. You just cannot trust a company like Jiffy Lube. The 2nd part is "find a mechanic you can trust." | I enjoyed the read as it showed how crazy an "upgrade" to Vista can be. I found it funny how at one point the author mentione his disbelief in other editors getting tons of BSODs. Then later on he gets systems with a lot of BSODs. Also the issue with the incompatable memory shouldn't be all too strange with computer enthusiasts. It is a well known issue that some memory are simply not compatable with certain motherboards. Even if a stick of memory passes several passes of Memtest 86 it will not guarantee the compatability so I was not surprised the memory was one of the culprits. Although I have to say checking error free memory would not be at the top of my list if the computer was getting BSODs.
I really want to hold off on upgrading to Windows Vista until SP1 comes out, but that is like 6 months at the earliest. Don't know if I can wait that long. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I knew about PC&C products, but they were always too rich for my blood! I just went with the somewhat quality after rebate power supplies and the last two were from OCZ. I'm glad about PC&C going under OCZ's wing as now hopefully the quality of OCZ PSUs will be better. The current PSU I have is the OCZ GameXstream 700W 120mm fan and it is also the loudest component in my system. I found it odd how it was noiser than the OCZ PowerStream 500W 80mm fans. Anyways OCZ has some of the best warranty services/policies for a technology company and I hope it stays like that! Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Hostile takeovers require lots of money and with these Firingsquad ads I think Firingsquad has the money to do that hostile takeover. Just check out the new annoying ad where you have to click on skip ad in order to get to the Firingsquad homepage. Oh wait, I see "Cookies must be enabled to avoid seeing this ad repeatedly." But my cookies are enabled and the freaking ad still appears everytime I go to www.firingsquad.com. I guess no more visitng Firingsquad again until they clear up that stupid ad. | | No offense, but from my experience with M$ the person probably did not want to sue M$ at all. He probably called several times, got fed and and HAD to file a lawsuit as M$ kept dealing him the same "automated" reply. As for me M$ stole my Xbox 360 hard drive and it has been almost 2 months now. Already called over 6 times to the call center. M$ corporate complaint was useless as I still have not received my hard drive even though I was promised to. BBB yielded no replies from M$ at all. An email to the Vice President (Kaplan) yeilded no replies also. I'm pretty much stuck with arbitration or some small claims court... It sucks how M$ just bullies people around and really don't care at all. Whatever saves them costs. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Companies want more money and if it bugs their customers, well... they don't really care. I mean did they care about fixing bugs in CS fast enough not to piss of the players? Heck no. They just had a small team fixing the bugs over the years and that shows they care little about their customers. Again, it is all about the sake of making more money and reducing costs. | | Sucks for GT fans. Seems like the developers had a hard to converting it to HD or something? I guess they found out how annoying it was to develop games for the PS3. Or perhaps they found out having to buy cars is pretty lame... Flag this | Edit this post |

| Yea I already knew about the fake bidders deal. It's funny to see all the websites, news, radios, and other people repeat how PS3s are selling for insane amounts on eBay. They also say the average selling price is blah blah, but in reality most of them over a certain amount like $2000 are done by fake bidders. They don't pay and just keep creating eBay accounts over and over again. Also eBay is the one to blame for this fiasco as they REFUSE the fix this issue. I already complained to eBay and i'm sure others have, but they won't do anything about it. If you guys noticed they were very quick to regulate how PS3 and Wii systems could be listed on eBay for pre-sales and for actually on hand units.
The only reason for this is eBay makes more money out of people who have to relist their items and infact I think perhaps eBay promotes this kind of behavior. Again these fake bidders are just help eBay earn more money. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | However there is no policy against bidders who have started ruining even legit Xbox 360 listings. I'm sure there will be a lot of accounts created just to ruin PS3 and Wii listings and again eBay will not even attempt to prevent that from happening. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Microsoft says a lot of stuff so you can never tell what they will do next. All a bunch of lies, bad quality products, and pushing back dates. But then again it is Microsoft, they can almost do anything they want. My bet is on a hard drive with a bigger capacity coming out in the near future. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | BF2 was bascially still in the beta like stages when it was released. Seems like BF2142 is doing the same route as they released a patch right after it was released. To EA and DICE the release of the final product is always too early. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | eBgames and gamestop's pre-order system is absolutely horrible... It should be a first come first service basis on getting the different versions of the PS3... So people have waited hours before it opened only to find out they have to wait hours before the pickup date just to get the "premium" version of the PS3... I guess it was a good thing that the stores did have a maximum number of pre-orders they could give out and thus it wouldn't piss off a lot of people on the release date. | Where is the test for the 1280x1024 resolution?
I don't think anyone will run their game at 800x600 or even super high resolution with max settings at this time since not everyone has top notch graphic cards. More down to earth tests would be great, but I have a feeling CPUs won't make a huge difference in gaming even at the most popular resolution. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Some of the worst drivers these days are drivers with freaking cell phones in their hands. They can't properly change lanes, they slow atleast 5-10 mph below the speed limit, they go even slower than "normal" speed on the up hills (but this is true for so many idiot drivers), and stick in the inner/left/fast lane pissing a lot of people off.
