| Yeah....the first Rocky movie was actually outstanding, but the rest of them were incredibly cheesy.

Actually, you should be very happy for this alternative distribution method. By cutting out the middleman, companies are able to sell their products for lower prices, which in turn forces retailers to lower their prices to remain competitive. When was the last time you saw so many games for under $20?
It also allows developers to maximize their profits, and put that money towards making new games, or maybe just to keep their heads afloat. With consoles kicking the crap out of PC games these days (sales wise) and developers leaving the PC market in droves, it's absolutely critical that PC gaming uses every little advantage it can get.
PC gaming is on the ropes. By purchasing through Steam or other online methods, you're better supporting PC gaming, and putting more of your money in the hands of the people who deserve it. Flag this | Edit this post |
