| | It is ironic that terrorist probably get their most destructive ideas from the best and brightest of the society they want to destroy. Otherwise they would probably never think of ideas beyond using high explosives. They aren't exactly enlightened intellectuals. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | When you learn a skill, you are actually undergoing physical changes in your brain. Molecules and neurons are being rearranged. I am guessing that spiders are born with the physical network of nerve cells already set for the skill to spin webs. Spider DNA has the skill pre-coded in. The downside I figure is that a spider couldn't improve the web design or adapt it to suit some new situation. It would take millions of generations of natural selection to slowly adapt. | Yeah you are right. True communism is actually a utopian ideal where the masses have all the power and there is no government whatsoever. North Korea is actually the opposite with complete government control over every aspect of society.
Deimos, what is your opinion on the massive North Korean death camps where hundreds of thousands of "unpatriotic" citizens are worked to death along with their entire extended families (in case unpatriotic behavior is caused by a genetic predisposition) Just Google search for North Korean death camps to get a glimpse of this nightmare regime. | | wow amazing. Yeah good point about not being able to see anything when you are inside the cloak. I guess you would be in complete darkness. Maybe they could poke a tiny video camera lens outside the cloak, or maybe leave two holes for your eyes. The tech would prevent reflections but I wonnder how it handles any electromagnetic emissions of the cloaked object such as infrared. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Sharks have been around for 100s of millions of years but will probably be extinct in the not too distant future due to humans' love of hunting and finding that everything that moves tastes "sooooo good". Sharks do not reproduce in massive quantities like fish do. They only have a few offspring and therefore their numbers can drop precipitously and take decades to recover. They are an amazing animal and it would be unfortunate to see them disapear forever. They are far more awe inspiring to see them alive underwater than stuffed in your living room. A little scary too. I know because I dove around 3+ meter long bullsharks . Flag this | Edit this post |
