| This is stupid. If EU wants other companies browsers on the Windows installation disc, have those browser companies pay for these browsers to be on the discs. Give other companies the option to pay a realistic fee to Microsoft.
This is just EU trying to bring a successful company down. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I've been having the lag problems. I'll log onto XBox Live and I will just get the console with the blinking circles loading around it with no access to any blade for up to a minute before I can use the 360.
And lately I keep losing my connection. I hope this is fixed soon. Flag this | Edit this post |

| The only reason for Burnout to me was the Crash mode. If that isn't in the game and lots of it, there is no point in getting the game. I've also enjoyed Road Rage as well.
The racing is ok too but nothing compared to the crash mode. I basically race to get to the next level to get a crash mode unlocked.
If this is just going to be another NFS game then I'll pass.
There is no Crash mode in the demo, that's why I feel the demo has been viewed as negative. Crash mode is what Burnout is all about. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I remember some of the things Playstation Home would be doing like online chats, your own suite with your walls, games, furniture, all those types of things.
Then little party games and such. It all sounds very cool.
I think Microsoft should bring something like that to the XBox 360. The Blades are great but a Mii/Playstation Home type environment where users can walk and interact in rooms could be fun.
Microsoft has to stop thinking about where they can squeeze every cent from and perhaps try XBox Home or something like that. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Selling the factories and perhaps buying the cell chips at a lower price because aren't the chips technology owned by IBM anyways?
And Toshiba is one of the main founders of HD-DVD but I thought there were a few different companies that made the entire HD-DVD format. Although Toshiba is probably the biggest backer.
And to think that a few years ago, Sony and Toshiba could have made a format that would be pushed on all of us now and they would be raking in the money. Sony and Microsoft would have probably put HD-DVD/BluRay drives in both consoles and Sony would be making money off Microsoft as would Toshiba.
I wish there was still a way those two formats could merge without destroying the entire format support in players. But, since I don't have either player, I wouldn't care. Flag this | Edit this post |

| "Could we make it squirt blood, too"
That is one stupid comment. A parent that asks if that is next just wants to get their voice heard because that's like saying,
"If we teach them to play golf, won't that teach them how to swing at kids ankles and hurt them?"
Sometimes people don't think before they come out with such a stupid comment. Maybe, if parents actually took the time to tell their children the different between right and wrong and if they spent more time with them showing love so these kids don't try to get attention other ways, they wouldn't be so screwed up. | All Toshiba needs to do now is get Fox on their side or at least get them to support both. I know Fox is in with Sony on their protection so Toshiba would have to offer something big.
With all these things going on, they might just try. HD-DVD knows a prolonged war with BluRay hurts both sides so make the big deals now that means spend perhaps less later.
I always knew this bluray/hddvd war was not good for consumers. Changing standards every few weeks making previous players useless while costing a lot of money. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Microsoft is not in trouble if HD-DVD fails. Sony is in trouble if BluRay fails as they've decided that losing a lot of money per PS3 sold is alright for them as long as they win this next gen format war and it does look like they're winning.
Microsoft doesn't want to incorporate HD-DVD into the 360's probably because there isn't enough movie studio support for HD-DVD like there is BluRay. They chose HD-DVD because it was a shot against Sony and yes, I do know Microsoft does a little work with Toshiba on HD-DVD as well but not to the extent Toshiba or Sony is putting into their respective formats.
This all takes me back to when talks between Toshiba and Sony fell apart. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Sony is losing so much money on the PS3 and with Microsoft probably set to make money even after a price cut with the new die shrink coming in the fall for the 360, Sony needs to somehow convince developers that the PS3 is going to surge in sales and that those same developers should stick with Sony.
Plus, the 80 gig HD is probably cheaper than the 60 now because the company that makes the hard drives probably wants to get out of that capacity. Flag this | Edit this post |

| This is a strange move. Epic who wasn't siding with the PS3 too much is now making the PS3 version the only way to play UT 3 on a console? Wow.
And, how many months later will the 360 version come out? Or is it farther behind in development?
Could this create a problem with GoW going PS3 as well?
Perhaps all those 360's breaking down(including mine last week) is making some developers hesitant on making 360 exclusives. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Konami is hoping that the PS3 gets a sales surge once MGS4 is released. Because, if the game doesn't spark sales enough, I see them making the game for the 360 as well.
It's like a salesman tactic. Pressure others into thinking your way and sometimes it works. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I still can't believe I got the red rings on my XBox 360 after playing a demo of Forza 2. Is there some coding that's being done like in Chromehounds where it heats up the CPU too hot or something? I don't get how games are bricking these things.
Wouldn't be surprised if Sony had gotten someone into Microsoft and planted a virus which is used in the dev tools for 360 games to burnout systems. Hehehe. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I downloaded the Forza 2 demo and yesterday when I tried playing it, it froze my system. Then I restarted, some weird stuff happened, had hard drive errors, then today, 3 red rings. And this was off the demo. Either something is wrong or this is just one big coincidence. Either way, I got an extended warranty through the store I bought it from so hopefully they can help me out. I've had this XBox 360 for just over a year too. Flag this | Edit this post |

| This is great that we get a free game. But I have two questions:
Why is being released free when there are other games on Arcade that cost points and aren't that good
What is this Soltrio Solitaire? When is it coming out and why will that be free? or is it? Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I'm currently running a desktop with ATI graphics and a laptop with nvidia graphics. I feel that I shouldn't have done that but am wondering if nvidia is the way to go for the desktop or should I just upgrade to a ATI DX 10 card when they come out. Not the top of the line one but the mainstream card. Flag this | Edit this post |
