| Being a Swede maybe I can shed some light on this (and Synch's comment justifies it).
First of all, anyone can for any reason register a "faith" in Sweden. We have total separation of church and state and there are no limits to who can register a faith. It's just that, a registration. They don't get any benefits.
Anyways, I don't like pirates, but having said that, Kopimism is a lot more reasonable and believable than all the other major religions. Flag this | Edit this post |

| This kind of goes in line with what I've said about Mr Paul earlier. He has a lot of good points. But then he goes off talking about how gold and silver is not legal tender but federal bills are.
I really don't see how that is relevant compared to his other points? I think his messages would be more powerful if he skipped such statements. Flag this | Edit this post |

| As a foreigner I guess I can be a little bit more objective than most here.
I followed the last primaries quite much and I must say that a lot of what Ron Paul said made sense. But he also has this strange overconfidence in open markets. One thing we have learned is that if you don't regulate then peoples greed will overtake the common good.
Also, his staunch resistance to all government involvement misses that fact that some things (not all) are best done together. I'm thinking of basic needs like fire fighting, police activity, health care and so on...

Ok good point about federal vs state. For me I've never understood why you separate it to such a degree, I guess it's mostly historical?
I mean the idea of centralizing it is to provide the same services to all, and not different depending on which state you happen to be born in.
For example. Schools was transfered from the government to municipalities in Sweden some 20 years ago. Now the result we see are videly different levels of funding and results depending on where you are born, creating inequalities. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Not sure you should blame the programmers It's a bit unfair to blame the programmers. The programmers rarely decide how a system is to be designed, that's the architects or designers work. They're the ones to be fired! :) Flag this | Edit this post |

| | The founders of Openleaks told the biggest newspaper in Sweden (I could link to it but I'm guessing you don't know Swedish) that they support the work of Wikileaks but they did not approve of the way Mr Assange made himself into an icon and that they hand picked which media that got the information first. He did not say anything about not liking what kind of material was leaked. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Of those games I've only tried Dragon Age. I'm guessing I got halfway through before giving up. It's a great example. A semi-naive story that wouldn't even hold up in a bad Hollywood film that is surrounded by hours and hours of point-click-abuse AI-gameplay. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Well, I couldn't agree more. Playing against a computer is, in my opinion, boring. The opponents are always easy to manipulate, the constant save-try-reload untill you pass a certain area is tedious. I grew out of single-player games when I was 18 and that's over a decade ago.
