| | I have no doubt that they improved the graphics, but now in a much smaller environment and a lot less destruction it will still look less impressive. Part of the beauty of the first one was standing on a hill and watching the forest stretch for miles. There is no doubt that they scaled back the game so it will run on consoles, they've said so them selves. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | There is a small part of me that wishes that Crysis 2 fails. After the first one sold close to 2 million copies and Crytech blamed the pc for it (as if a game that sold 2 million copies is a failure), now that the second game got less open and simplified while the graphics are actually worse then the first one so it will run on consoles, I feel as if Crytech betrayed the pc community. | | Thats why you keep on upgrading? PC graphics are stuck in hibernation for the past 3 years because everything is made consoles first. My 3+ year old computer runs BC2 as smooth as silk, thats just sad. 3 years and we haven't seen a single graphical jump since Crysis came out. Actually we haven't seen anything that looks as good as Crysis for the past 3 years nor something that looks better in the close future. The really sad part is that even Crysis 2 looks like a less impressive game now that they relocated the game into an almost closed environment so the consoles can handle it. As sad as it might sound, I doubt that we will see a game better looking then Crysis until the Xbox3 or ps4 comes out and "let" computer graphics run wild again. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Bioware doesn't have an internal CGI studio so everything CGI they "do" comes from a third party CGI company that EA rents. Most video games companies don't have a CGI department, actually I can't think of any companies except for Blizzard and Square who does (Valve do it them selves too but their movies are almost in engine). | | Its only in the US, in Europe PC is doing much better. Its like looking at the 360 in Japan only and thinking its a failing console. The problem is consoles get all the focus in the past 4-5 years but this year we will see great sales on PC, you have SC2, Civ5 and WOW:cataclism that can do alone around 25 million units world wide. | Bundled at 300$ it actually has a pretty nice chance of selling well. Even at 50$ I doubt it someone in here would have been interested in Kinect because all we have seen thus far was casual games for launch. But 10 year old boys and kinect adventures? 15 year old girls and Dance Central? 35 year old soccer mom and the fitness game from Ubi?
In business everything is supply and demand, Microsoft already said that they are able to make only 5 million units for 2010 meaning they think that at 150$ or 300$ bundle they can move almost 5 million Kinects. With the right marketing campaign its actually possible, maybe not to you and I, but for the people who bought the Wii.
Trust me, when MGS5 comes in two years you will buy kinect just for the Psycho Mantis fight... Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Actually this patent takes more resources then 3D or split screen. In 3D you can do some of the calculations for both frames (like some of the lighting and shadows calculations) and both frames are taken from almost the same angle, in split screen the resolution is cut by half (and sometimes even more like in halo or RE5). But here you get the worst of both worlds in terms of performance. I really doubt it if they can really pull it off on the PS3 with cutting edge graphics, maybe PSN games. | | Sorry, everything is made consoles first. Im still waiting for a game that uses DX10 fully and not for 15% smoother shadows, and DX10 was released almost 4 years ago! The next PC graphical jump will happen, but around 2014 when the new 360 and ps4 will come... Flag this | Edit this post |

| | 130$ for a device that will only serve us as a pointing device for shooters? If all Sony gives us is "Harry Potter and the missing budget" and shooters then I have no interest. Flag this | Edit this post |
