There may be no punishment after death, but I don't want to pay for him to sit in prison waiting to feel guilty for his crimes. When guilt is certain, I have no qualms about eliminating a social problem. However, I guarantee that he will be out of jail in 5-7 years, so you can probably ask him if he gained any perspective during his incarceration.

I wonder if they discounted their train ticket by the distance they traveled on their own?

Most likely they were just unused tracks. There are hundreds of miles of ghost tracks in the US. Recently, CA tried buying up some of those unused tracks, so they could use them for light rail systems and they rebuffed because American Pacific (or whomever owned them) wanted to make sure they wouldn't have any use for them in the future.

I saw enough of the plot to determine that this will be as dumb as "Painkiller Jane". I think they could just save some money and bring back Jake 2.0 or whatever it was called.
I am really feeling miffed because the cancellations came out and they killed Jericho, which was the only new show worth watching on CBS. I wonder if anyone would be interested in getting an investing pool together to grab a stake in a network, so we can dictate a list of decent shows.

They must have taken money from some upcoming movie that she is going to be in. She used to be hot, but she is in really bad shape now. Then again Maxim died a couple of years ago and has been pretty out of touch since they voted Jessica Alba the hottest (which she was).

Anyone interested in starting the Anti Speech League? We will write letters to every company who makes money off of people who say crazy and/or offensive things. We can start by demanding that Sharpton write a letter to all white people apologizing for all the racist things he has said in the past. Then we can write to Warner Bros, etcetera and demand an apology or firing of all artists who have used offensive statements agains any group. I have never listened Imus, but this whole thing is just out of control. Was what he said dumb? Yes. Should we care? No. Were they hos? Maybe, chances are at least one was.

I wondered about that to. What are the chances that he used the bathroom and forgot his phone? She could have recorded this as a means of trying to make some money off of BB/GS. Although he did come back to the home, which is pretty incriminating.

While this is definatley libel, I am not certain that the Principle should have taken any action upon the children outside of court or a hearing room. I can understand if the children did this while on campus, in which case he can punish them for their actions while on campus, but for him to punish the kids for actions done outside of campus, seems to be beyond his authority.
This seems to happen a lot. The Principle acts as a judge on a matter, often times with no evidence or hearing on the subject, then judges the students and enacts punishment. I have no problem with Principles enacting judgment and punishment for actions done on the campus (heck I thick they should get a rod and license to use it), but once a child leaves the campus it becomes an issue for the courts or an arbiter to decide.

In other words he knows he isn't going to make any money off the movie... so he wants to use it as a tax write off

The classic swastika was an ancient gallic symbol representing male power. The reverse of it was for feminine power. These symbols were used in Nordic cultures for centuries. In fact early Dutch colonialists regularly incorporated these symbols into their quilts etcetera. The Smithsonian pulled a display of early American colonial quilts, because the public couldn’t reconcile the symbol. In fact the symbol can be found in almost every ancient culture, which is makes this whole Nazi stuff so ridiculous.

I saw a couple of idiots in a Datsun/Nissan 210 aim for and run over a chihuahua the other day. It was a really awful seeing it spin under the car like some kind of toy. If I hadn’t stopped to check to see it was alive, I could have caught those little pukes. I felt especially bad because they saw my car and thought they would show off how fast their pile of crap was, although I doubt it would have changed anything because they switched lanes to hit the dog.

Some of the articles read like they babelfished them from old Firingsquad articles. Another thing, why couldn't you port over the graphics and layout from this site? I swear the logo's text isn't even aliased! What is with the scrolling marquees? Oh well, good luck in China, just make sure you have your site automatically closes the browser after 15 minutes, because that is the maximum time limit on fun.

I think, we as a society need to raise the bar on people's 15 seconds of fame. Too many people, like her, are just making stupid stands to garner a moment of publicity. If we just refuse to link to them or ignore them, they wouldn't have a voice. If she had a moot issue I would listen and defend her right to her opinion. But, per the interview, she doesn't even have an opinion. She made a stand on a percieved notion of what the game was about and stuck to it even when she found out that the game wasn't about what she though it was. Its called "pulling a Bush", we all do it occasionally, but we shouldn't get media time for them.

Why use an Aussie news site for a story from San Francisco? Anyhow, it was bound to happen, that one of those power mad SUV drivers would snap. I think Clarkson's latest editorial in Top Gear Magazine summarizes the whole American issue succinctly....

» They may not be a pair of Sennheisers
I have been using the 5H non usb for about 3 months now. While the sound quality doesn't compare to my old 580s, however they work very well as a pair of gaming headphones. One nice thing about them is that they are sealed cans, which means that there is very little sound bleed into the environment around you. As for the price, check Fry's. I picked them up for #35 after mail-in rebate (there was no advertisement about this, I just found out about it a check out). Amazon has the USB ones for $54 after MIR. While not perfect these are a lot better than the Icemat versions and any other headset/mic combo that I have tried.

I don't know, but it does make for some dumb news. The cap makes me think about chocolate pudding. No matter how much I try to see Allah, I still see chocolate pudding. I think I need to consult a psychiatrist to see what this means.
