| I don't get what the big deal is. Whether you're using Steam or Origin, you still have to log into one of them to play. The only difference is that Origin is new and doesn't have much going for it yet. Not to mention the stupid browser based BF3 multiplayer.
As long as EA doesn't mess about with Mass Effect and let Bioware do their thing, then I'll still buy it. Flag this | Edit this post |

| If there was an installation revocation tool for the game/games using this DRM, then all would be well.
Then again, iTunes has the ability to deactivate machines using the same account, but with up to 5 pc's instead of 3. Unfortunately that's rubbish as well, since it doesn't even work properly. At least for me it doesn't. Never buying music on iTunes again.
If you're going to implement a DRM then do it right, otherwise don't do it at all. Flag this | Edit this post |

| What I think that comment is referring to is Sony's Blu-Ray player and how they are making everyone pay for it automatically with a purchase of a ps3 without even knowing if it will succeed. I think Microsoft is saying that by giving everyone a choice to buy an add on drive separately is better then automatically forcing everyone to submit to a particular format.
I could be very wrong, but that's just one possibilty I thought of when reading that statement. Flag this | Edit this post |
