But the game? I bet it plays just about exactly like F.E.A.R.

| I'm not offended. I was a little bit irked by how they portrayed pre-zombie villagers, no more offeneded than when a cop calls me boy under his breath. I said it wasn't worth making a big deal out of, I just wanted to discuss it. I had thought about the xenophobia in RE4 (to be honest, I've only played like, three of them and only beaten two, so I can't sum up the entire series, and I apologize if it has seemed like I had)when I first played it, and thought it was kind of wierd. In this trailer, it was really obvious.
And my issue with how everyone is trying to fix africa isn't really a problem with whitey, it's just government. It's too bad that most of it is still white men, I bet you guys get a lot of shit for that.
And if you're too immature to stop punching your keyboard in anger about my ideas, then you shouldn't be playing such adult oriented videogames. Flag this | Edit this post |

| yeah, hungry zombies. you shoot them a bunch and there's blood everywhere. BUT (and this is the case in the fourth RE as well) there's some underlying xenophobia in the premise, and that's my problem. I don't understand why there can't be a black STARS member in this one. Leon is not only kind of bland as a protagonist but his pretty-boy with the cool surfer hair thing seems a little far-fetched for the zombie killing machine he is...He looks like he's wearing makeup the entirety of RE 4.
I miss ash.

| As a young black man, I was a little bit irked when I watched the trailer - not to say that making an issue out of it is needed, it just seems like most indigineous africans get painted like crazy cannibalistic savages. While I understand where the idea comes from, it still feels like a cheap trick to sell games. Especially with the AIDS focus, and the darfur thing, and all this shit about how the white people need to fix Africa (cos y'all with yer imperialism ruined it in the first place). And don't give me shit about being african american and middle class like I'm not in touch with my brothers in Zambia - I'll fucking spear you and beat you to death with my atlatl.
P.S. How pissed would everyone be if they made a resident evil in a japanese village full of crazy zombie-samurai trying to steal your rice and have sex with your daughter, chock full of images of starving hungry japanese munching down on some dim sum human? Flag this | Edit this post |
