| "We could have easily produced PlayStation 2.5 at a slightly increased price over the older model, and driven some nice profits and marginal innovation for a few years but that’s not how we got where we are today."
Are where exactly are you today??? Third place.
"We have to bring the games to market that will showcase what the PS3 can do and ultimately entertain you like no other games have. We need to provide proof of what the PS3 can do for you and work tirelessly to improve the value and justify your investment. At the end of the day, it’s always been about the games."
If it has always been about the games, they why include Blu Ray and a high price tag? And where are all of those great games? Flag this | Edit this post |

| Well, kudos for Microsoft for acknowledging what Nintendo has done well. Rather than boast that the 360 has better graphics/better games, etc. they are looking at the price to consumers. Not just value per dollar or look how cheap you are getting a Blu Ray player (pay attention Sony!).
Everyone knows and expects a 360 price drop, we just don't know when it will happen. Microsoft seems to be listening to what consumers want and is willing to make adjustments (price drop, including a free game, etc).
Sony could learn a few lessons by swallowing their pride and making some changes. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Duke Nukem Forever may be out before we see the end of the HL2 episodes.
Seriously, there are a lot of good games on the horizon (Crysis, C & C, etc). The HL2 series will be taking a back seat to other games that I can play without having to wait for a conclusion. Flag this | Edit this post |

| So far, I have not been overly impressed with the demo. I will keep playing through the entire demo.
This game will strain your system, even a high end machine. The graphics are not the huge improvement I was expecting from Total Annihilation. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I could understand it if the Wii sold out in just the first few weeks. But it continues to sell out. Sony is confusing impulse buy with people buying a good product. People don't wait in line for hours for an "impulse buy".
What is Sony's excuse for the DS outselling the PSP? Flag this | Edit this post |

| The demos at Target and EBGames had low framerates when I played. Sometimes it did not really seem like I was going very fast.
I still think Burnout Revenge on the 360 is a better race game.
Plus, this is a game where rumble would be nice to have. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I have seen PS3s at my local Target stores here in Southern California. People see them and then just walk by. More people are interested in the Wii and 360. The Wiis are hard to come by. People are buying them to actually use.
I check my local recycler (a paper that you can sell stuff for free). There were 46 adds for people seeling PS3s. Most are only about $100.00 more than in the stores. Many people are buying these consoles to resell, not to play and use.
The demand is there, but the willingness to pay $600.00 for a console with just one good excusive title is not there. Flag this | Edit this post |
