Running high resolution tests will only demonstrate the power of the video card. Low resolution tests demonstrate the power of the processor. Since the review is about a processor, you only need a basic video card to run the various apps and provide compatibility.
Higher res tests have shown many times that the CPU will not cause a bottleneck. There will be slight changes in performance due to different clocks, architecture and number of cores of each proc, but overall the video card is the limiting factor. The lowest resolution is used in order to remove the bottleneck and determine the best processor.
I guess we all missed the memo that changed EA forever. I'm glad BioWare is keeping true to their product and releasing it when it's done and in good shape.
I'm not very familiar with them, but I'll check them out soon, since they'll be playing in my town in a few weeks. Might go check them out if it's good.
Some games are meant to be played on consoles other on PC. RTS types are a good example of PC only. While 3rd person games and racing games often feel much better on a console.
I've played shooters on consoles and they never feel right. A person's skill at playing an FPS on a console or PC is completely dependent on their SKILL and nothing else.
Hahahaha FS did review Quake Wars.
If you mean benchmark it, then the answer is: no point in benchmarking an old game that won't push these cards to their limit. :D
