I wonder how much Sony is paying them for the exclusivity. Also if they are integrating the game into the eve world, there might be sequels if the game is successful (as lifespan of EVE is a lot longer then normal FPS game (except for counter-strike), and they might be on other platforms. | yeah, I agree. it looks like a more jump in and out of kind of game than MMO, but still offers more continuity than FPS games like Battlefield.
The game seems to fixes the two major issues that I have with Eve and other MMOs; firstly no monthly charge; secondly seems more skill based then time investment based (you don't need to invest 100s of hours in your character to beet someone who already has).
It's just a shame it isn't on the PC, as I refuse to play FPS on consoles as it is totally stupid. I have played Halo on xbox, and tried a few others but the experience is so below what I have grown to expect from PC counterparts such as Quake/Battlefield/Valve games. Flag this | Edit this post |

But a fantsy-pantsy single-player game is not going to do a thing for me, as I will only play it on-line like all the other Battlefield games.

| I feel the root kit scandal hurt Sony's image more than this, but people forgot that way too fast I feel.
But however you look at it, Sony (and every subscriber) is a victim of foul play, you could argue that they should have better security but it will never be 100%. The sound of the weapons lack impact, giving the impression that the weapons are unexciting (totally unlike the double barreled shotgun from Doom 2, the greatest gun ever) But given ID track record, I can't wait to try it out for myself, even though it looks like a Borderlands clone.
