| | You know, they are supposedly to release Linux for PS3. Then you can use probably use VI or maybe even OpenOffice in the future. So all you need now is a USB keyboard and mouse. Also a 60GB disk should make it possible to install all kinds of crap. Flag this | Edit this post |

| The problem with SFII (and MK) is that the 4 button controler is no good, now if they would sell a 6 button controler, like the one for the old Genesis, then it would be playable.
[Yes, there are more than 4 buttons, but they are awkwardly placed] Flag this | Edit this post |

| That is the reason (for the high price), because the seller (Valve) gets more money, if you are a true fan you should give them as much money as possible. But seriously, I think if they sold it for $10, then the profit for the retail business would be too low if they were to compete. For example, if every wholesale would sell at the same price to customers as they sell it to retail outlets no one would by retail anymore.
BTW. Cool post number, 1111. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Congratulations to our 1000 customer, here have a cookie.
EDIT: I just bought Capcom Classic Collection for Xbox only $15. It has SFII Hyper Fighting and 21 other games, so this is a total rip-off. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Acording to wikipedia they sold 4 million copies of HL2 and about quarter of that was on Steam. They probably made about $100 million on that game, given that the got $20 of each retail sale and $40 on steam (probably less though). But at least they got the cost covered.
If they sell 4 million copies of each episode, they stand to gain $240 million, So under this new bussiness model they are getting extra $140 million for the same amount of content (12-18 hours worth). Flag this | Edit this post |

| They probably think they have outgrown the worst STD ever to appear on this earth, so they don't need protection. But there is another much more alarming problem, old people having sex, yuck.
EDIT: Isn't Miami a popular place during spring break, maybe the old people are talking advantage of the dead drunk students. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | The point is simple, while the companies are getting higher percentage of each sale, they are also raising prices ($20 may seem lower than the regular retail price but if the given game takes you 2-3 hours to complete thats a rip-off) and when they go only for online distribution you can't look for a bargain. | | Well there are some exclusive games/expansions, for both PC and Xbox that can only be bought online. For example Xbox Live Arcade. That means consumers have no alternative, and no way of getting a better deal. Flag this | Edit this post |
