I'm guessing since it's asking for the one millionth user that you don't have to purchase any titles but to merely have an account itself.

It would kind of work against them and the actual fan base if someone just came along, made the millionth account, won the PC and never returned. Not to mention whether it's possible to make multiple accounts with friends/family information.

Apparently, they're going to make this movie with nothing more than a rubber band, a paper clip and duct tape.

The difference is is that Intel took one swing with the C2D and hit a home run. AMD has been struggling ever since then and are only now recovering slightly with the Tri-core Phenom IIs to the enthusiasts.

I'd make an account just to try and win that regardless of what it was for. The thing is, I'm sure everyone else would too. It probably won't benefit them in the end and they'll be out one $4,000 PC which will probably be used to play The Sims on.

The G92 architecture is getting raped. I can't wait for ATI to pull out something which takes nVidia by storm and reminds them why it beneficial to innovate rather then exploit their consumer base with rebranding hardware.

It's kind of like when AMD sat around on their Athlon 64 processors while Intel devised the C2D.

I'm surprised they've chosen to release higher end i7 skus rather then lower end skus to capitalize on the fence walking budget types.

I can't see them getting much more sales with the way the economy is heading either.

AMD has been doing a fair enough job lately at destroying themselves.

Well no, that was uncalled for. Their 720s are pretty hot but these should have come sooner.

I think that's the best way to test the exploitability of a product. Throw it out to the hacking community and give them a prize which would no doubt save them money spent in the future and their reputation.

On February 15, 2008, Activision announced that one of the two new Guitar Hero installments will be Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, to be released in June of 2008.[3][4][5] Guitar Hero: Aerosmith will be developed by Neversoft for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, while the Wii version of the game will be developed by Vicarious Visions and the PlayStation 2 version will be developed by Budcat Creations.[6]

Sorry, I just had to. I suggest to stick with sites which have been good to us in the past with nifty news like bluesnews.com

I agree on the yawn thing though.

Wow, I like how you lash out in a fairly immature way. I pretty much stated my reasons as to why I am bitching and I am not alone, so really, you could say it's half of FS who are bitching. I just bring things to light because I do not fear the wrath of a contributing editor with poor work ethics to the users.

That said, I think you forgot to mention that there are, in fact, more than just those news mentioned on google news.

"A Big Victory for Kim Frederiksen"
"Crush Lose Unlucky Number 13 To Rush 65-52"
"Fourteen an unlucky number for Saratoga baseball girls"
"Memories of Maurice McTigue (vid)"
"Planetlemans analyzes the Monza 1000km"
"The "Divergence Problem" in Tree-Ring Reconstructions of Temperature"
"Quartet impress in national competition"
"Everyday lucky and unlucky omens"
"The Mathematics of Billy Collins"

Yeah, I wonder what those mean...

To further counter, "unlucky number 7" is relevant to the actual news itself and has a straightforward description of what the rest of the article has to offer. Tell me how we are suppose to know what the hell a title means when it involves two fat men and a motorcycle and why it is relevant to be in the gamers section without me having to read half of it to realize it's about games? D'oh!

Also, if you are going to burn me with your logic, at least make sure those are not the only front page articles.

I hope, for the sake of FS, that someone at a site like [H] does not pick up on this.

Man Stabbed While Waiting in Queue to Buy Grand Theft Auto 4

They are descriptive.

Yeah but when you watch TV, you don't see people who report the News throw in their own spin to it. Nobody would be able to follow it or find the relevance it has to the story. I just shows biasism (I just made that word I think) towards the subject in a positive or negative fashion which alters the product.

He can voice his opinion on the matter, I have no problem with that; I just want to see the actual PR which was supplied to him without the jargon so I can quickly read it and move on to the next article without having me scratching my head in trying to figure out how half of it is relevant.

Call it news. Call it Steve. Hope you like it. If you don't, well, nice knowin' ya and have fun with your press releases elsewhere.

Wow. That is damn amazing. Being a member here for an obviously long amount of time must not really matter I take it? We are use to the news as it was when it was delivered, now you pretty much tell everyone to go blow themselves because you say so?

You were soooo close at having me convinced, but I am afraid I may just have to go elsewhere now to find news because you certainly contrast everything which most of the posters here are accustomed to and Firingsquad itself. Nobody likes being told what to do or where to go because you are the "new" poster. We have been loyal members to this site, some longer than others, and to be told that:

"Hope you like it. If you don't, well, nice knowin' ya and have fun with your press releases elsewhere."

Is just, in all honesty, a terrible move on your part and if you were on the other side of the fence, I think you would agree.

I'd like to get some feedback on this from the higher ups. Just because you have a FS title does not mean I am afraid of calling out disrespect towards the fan base which FS has created.

If I am at work as a new employee and want to do things my own way by telling my patrons to go somewhere else if they don't like my service, then I will either get put on notice for my actions or fired. You could argue that this site generates no profit from sales (which is something I would like to see done i.e. I want a FS shirt) so therefor is not a business, but a certain level of professionalism and attitude is expected from you and all the FS employees to make your visitors feel welcomed.

Remember the fuss when [H] got into a fight with FS because of benchmarks? Remember how much people came here to say how much they hated Kyle and loved FS? Thats called brand loyalty because they were not fond of how he treated his community members (deleting forum posts and being rude as an example). Do you see how that sort of transcends to this situation?

Exactly. Quotations are given to us to quote a source based on the information given to us to draw our attention that that excerpt.

"This is what a news article should look like to show that there is a quoted source with an attached [link] to click on to give you more information"

Reading through Brett Todd's "news" is like watching soft core porn. You know when you're about to see some action, the camera will slowly blur out and then focus in with them walking out the door shwing that it's over. Why the hell did I stay up till 1 am to see that when I was fourteen is beyond me. It's really annoying is what i'm trying to say. I think this paragraph even sums up the feeling, because now I'm going to say I don't like it. Without links.

I have to agree. It's not news without links to the news itself. It's nice to have your own style, but some people just want to see the news itself rather than an interpretation of the news.

Make a section called something like....The Splatter Room or something as an homage to the sites name. See, that was not so hard. Give me cookies.

Jealously I think not, Soldierkid. If you want to waste your money on a product which gets phased out in no time at all than more power to you; for the other 99% of the consumers, we'll just spend a fraction of that to get roughly the same performance (enthusiasts) and have a wad of cash to spend on things which matter. Go buy your kids a pony if you have all this money hanging out of everywhere.

I spent $125 on my E4300 almost a year ago and cranked it up to 3.1ghz. The Intel equivalent at that time with the same speed (actually slower) was several times more expensive. So you see, just because you have cash does not mean you are going to be making good choices. That's just one example I could give you.

What you spend in several thousand dollars, I could probably do in a significantly less amount and still be playing my games great. This is all being provided on a part-time job while paying my own way through college.

The only thing you can help the rest of us understand is the timeless quote "a fool and his money are soon parted".

I feel pity for you, really. You don't realize how much of a phony you come off as and the arrogance which secretes from each word you type is enough to make anyone nauseous. You're such a prince.

I feel pretty bad for anyone who gets suckered into spending that much on a PC for the purpose of gameplay.

It'll make a fine paperweight in the not-so-distant future.

If not then, let's pretend he is.
