| I'm surprised you didn't include an 8800GTS for comparison in your benchmarks.
It would be reasonable to assume that those interested in the Akimbo would be GTS buyers looking to save a little money. Flag this | Edit this post |

| No problems here thus far (Vista Ultimate 32-bit). All in all, it's pretty transparent.
The things I notice the most are the added ability to choose the drive(s) you want to defragment (although there is still no indication of progress) and the removal of "Search" from the start menu. The latter is particularly annoying if you're like me and always use "advanced" searches. Flag this | Edit this post |

| *sigh* I want my Resident Evil requel.
MK was a great game and a decent movie, but I think its time has passed.
However, if they seriously wanted to make another go at this property, it should be on TV as an hour-long or mini-series. I mean, they could introduce a new character every episode for two seasons if they wanted. Flag this | Edit this post |

| This card would be a attractive offering to those currently looking to purchase an 8800 GTX/Ultra but want the benefit of a lower price and retain media acceleration for HD/BD movies.
However, it's likely nVidia's next offering will provide the same benefits with improved performance. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Meh. Let me know when they're fully naked, grinding against the hoods, and spraying each other with garden hoses.
As for this, they should just say it's art and they would've been covered. ;) Instead it's bye-bye spine. Flag this | Edit this post |

| This isn't the full remake of RE: The Movie that I was hoping for, but it could potentially be better because I doubt they'll try and mass-market it. It could be truer to the original material (although it wouldn't take much).
The Advent Children/Spirits Within analogy is a good one. Made for the fans VS. Mass-market. I agree 100%.
I just hope they do a decent dubbing job. Flag this | Edit this post |

| The PS3 vs. the world thing has been done
(http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/hd-dvd-bluray/1927/shootout-3-blu-ray-disc-players.html) but it wouldn't hurt to have a FiringSquad spin on it.
What I really want to see from the next firmware upgrade is DTS-HD Master Audio decoding. That would make the PS3 the first "complete" Blu-ray player. Although I wouldn't complain if they lowered the price too. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Actually, I think it's better that they release it after the series ends (the first one, anyway). That way they can delve into expanded universe stuff without having to worry about canon. It should be a good way to let the series live on as long as the don't release it TOO far in the future. Flag this | Edit this post |
