| | Though it might appear that Microsoft is not including a choice of browsers out of spite, I don't think that's the case at all. It would be illegal for Microsoft to distribute most third party browsers without some sort of licensing agreement. Mozilla, owners of the Firefox browser defend their copyright vigorously. It may be a free browser, but you are not allowed to distribute to others without their permission. I'm sure the same goes for Opera and Google Chrome. So not only is the EU run by a bunch of corrupt, power wielding deusche bags, they're idiots and retards as well. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Could be cool little laptops depending on what you wanted to do. If they're able run the myriad Android apps and games plus an option to add a sim card from one of the wireless providers they could be quite the handy little on the go devices. If you're scared of stepping outside your MSFT comfort zone, expect to be able to run Adobe Photoshop or can't have fun with anything other than some sort of DirectX 3D oriented game, then this clearly would not be the device for you. | | The option to choose an operating system other than Windows is intriguing... I also like the availability of a higher res screen, but the lack of an option for some sort of basic integrated graphics OTHER than Intel is a deal breaker here as it is with all the other netbooks out there. | | I appreciate the amount of time Crytek put into making the game. I understand their insecurity about piracy even if I believe it to be somewhat irrational. I understand the DRM mechanism is not wholly Crytek's decision. Nevertheless, I as a consumer have the right to not be treated like a criminal. Even if it does not directly impact my enjoyment of the game, on principle alone I will not be buying Warhead until the DRM restrictions are removed. Sincerely, An Insignificant Gamer. | | Fuck that. 5.25" Floppy drives and monochrome displays. Now there's some quality technology that can withstand a nuclear holocaust or two. What good is this flashy CRT crap and speedy IDE drive garbage if it melts down at a mere 200 degrees Kelvin?! Flag this | Edit this post |

| This day and age I don't take for granted any game released on the PC no matter it's previous history. And given past statements from Carmack and others, it was somewhat unclear exactly what id's platform strategy would be going forward.
In any case, that's awsome news. I really enjoyed Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I can only assume it'll be using the new Rage engine. I don't see much point in developing a new title on anything less. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Microsoft has a huge conflict of interest with their console gaming business. If you're in charge of a second class, less important division of a huge corporation that doesn't give you the same funding as the favored, golden child, there's not much more to do than crap out an overenthusiastic press release every once in a while to cover your sorry ass. | | How would I react? I'd try to act like a professional and remember that not everyone shares my beliefs and opinions. If I don't want to risk promoting something that I don't believe in, I'd be more careful about selling away my intellectual property for truck loads of cash. Flag this | Edit this post |
